Default Guy on Oxygen at the gym?

So I'm at the gym over lunch today and this dude is seriously walking around plugged into an oxygen machine. He was a pretty big dude and seemed to be healthy. The hose on the machine was super long, about 15-20 feet and he would walk around to different stations and would leave the machine behind and leave his air hose to walk over. I thought this was odd and wondered if anyone had ever seen this before. I think he may have been doing that oxygen therapy to lessen recovery time but it just seemed strange. He even had an extra oxygen bottle with him.

He may have a problem breathing properly during exercise as using oxygen can only be prescribed by a doctor or a medical caretaker. See the following:

If you want oxygen in a tank though, I would think there are plenty of ways to get it without prescription. Just have to get a regulator and hook up to a scuba tank, industrial welding tank, etc

I don't know, he was working out pretty hard to be having trouble breathing properly. I would think a person that has a medical condition would refrain from doing 60lb dumbell curls and then hitting up a few hundred pounds on the leg press. He was a pretty big dude.
