Default BAD News!!!!

A few years ago, I was diagnosed with acid-reflux "GERD", but it wasn't that bad. Almost 3 weeks ago, I started feeling sick. I was having major heartburn like all-day and a very weak stomach. I had constant stomach pain and felt like throwing up all the time. I lost 15lbs and almost all the size I've gained in the past month which the Methyl-Mass helped. Just as I was thinking this powder is amazing, I was looking the best since I started lifting again a few years ago right before all this starting happening. I stopped supplements and working out immediately. I took a bunch of tests which were negative. Doctor told me to stop using supplements and take Protonix daily, which has been helping prevent heartburn and acid-reflux. I worked my way off the "Little to no heartburn" causing foods to "foods with moderate discretion" so far and gained about 5 lbs. He thinks the acid-reflux condition coming back and all the supplements I was taking caused some sort of reaction. The weird thing is, I have been cutting down on supplements in the past 2 months or so and I've been eating cleaner than I have ever been. This sucks!!! I actually did a small workout the other day, since I felt better, but this has been a big discouragement. Looks like it will be a long time before I'll ever take supplements again.

Dang, that sucks. Hopefully you can figure it out and gain it all back.
I have a hard enough time with regular heartburn... Can't imagine acid reflux.
Good Luck

Sorry to hear that. I'm sure you can find some supplements that work for you and don't cause any reaction. I would always add just 1 thing at a time and see how you react to it for a month before adding anything else. Best of luck.

or just stick to a good diet, and take real steroids. garunteed you will get your size back, and probably more.

on a positive note. my gf loves spicy foods, but one day just started feeling nausious, and getting other signs of acid reflux. so she cut back on the spicy foods. then about a month later, she started trying spicy stuff again. and she had no problems at all. ive heard similar stories like this from others as well. about acid reflux spontaneously showing up, and disappearing. so maybe you will get lucky, and the problem is just random, and temporary.

believe it or not but thats a good thing, your body needs the rest from all that junk. now you can work on training all natural with nothing but real food and good nutrition. good luck!

+1 I have a stomach disease that will not allow me to drink any sort of protien powder so I started working out all natural and got on a good diet and I started to see results just as well as I was before...I don't gain weight as easily but asfar as cutting up I see great gains.

Thanks for the responses. It was a tough situation, plus with the added anxiety that this causes. It took a few weeks to be able to manage this condition and anxiety. I'm doing a lot of better and I have a much different outlook on life. I guess this can be a lesson or like mentioned and get rid of all the chemicals that was in my body. I used to work out naturally and had a pretty good diet before and I got some decent results. I guess having a low body fat % helped. Doctor says I have excess protein in my urine, so I have to go back in 5 weeks and take another test to see if the level drops.

i think this is usually caused by fighting off some type of infection. thats what my doctor told me, but he is kind of an idiot. but i had it so bad, it was like a discharge, i actually thought i had the clap or something. but when i got my piss checked, the doc said it was just protein from fighting off an infection. ?????????
