Default Anyone run marathons? Supplement help and food help please.

So I have always run for weight control and fitness but as I have become older I have less time in the gym and have shifted more to just running with free weights and p90x style power core excersizes.

Before I go on my long runs I carb load like a mother and intake around 1000 calories. So around mile 18 I start getting hungry. So damn hungy it makes it impossible to go on. If I stop and eat it takes too much food for me to be able to really run without cramping. WTF do I do? At the moment I take the goo and accelerade every 45 minutes or so. Do i need to goo like every 20 minutes? I hate that crap....

I take atleast 120 grams of protien a day about 2500-3000 calories and have 7% bodyfat. 30 years old. I take liquid glucosamene and a liquid multivitamin daily as well as a daily potien supplement.

EDIT: BTW im running a half marathon in austin on oct 11th if anyone wants to join up my goal is 90 minutes.

I ingest as much carbs as I can pre-run. I bought a polar RS800sd that guages heart rate and stride length. It also calculates whether you are fat burning or carb burning based on heart rhythm. Hopefully this will show me im burning too much carb during my run and i just need to train in my fat burning lower heart rate Either that or i need to pack a couple hogies in a back pack for my marathons

If you are only carb loading before the run shouldn't you be carb loading the nigth before and 6 hours before?

Maybe if I am doing a competition but I work until midnight the night before both of my long runs so it makes it difficult. In fact the day before my half marathon I work a 13 hour shift.

Eat a lot of carbs the night before. I get hungry too but I just think about heartburn and it goes away.

Yah, the only thing I can tell you there is that take a ton of pasta with you to work for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If you are not stuffing your face with carbs the night before what you eat the morning off will not impact you long term. When I played in college I could tell the difference between when I would properly eat and when I didn't.
