Default In-cabin filter on a Z?

So I've been getting a musky smell in the airconditioning/heat in the Z. The dealer reccomended that I change the in-cabin filter, or let them do it for 80 dollars. I called up mynismo.com to buy one and do it myself and they told me the Z doesnt have a in-cabin filter. So my question is, does the Z have a in-cabin filter?

Ok I was pretty sure mynismo.com knew what they were talking about. My friend said I should've let the dealer do it and tell them I want to watch them do it.
Any suggestions of a fix for the musky smell?

I used to use the orange and cream air fresheners from Autozone, but they no longer carry them.
People used to laugh because I have a Lemans that smelled like oranges.

grab yourself a can of Lysol, empty about 1/3 of it into your HVAC air intake on the cowl under your windshield on the driver's side. let it sit for a few minutes, then crank on the car and blast your heat. with the car still running cycle through the different airflow settings (dash, floor, defrost, etc), spray more Lysol down the intake everytime you switch the setting.

that should work for you. i never did it on my Z, but it worked on my old Neon and my Maxima. sometimes condensation can build up and get moldy in the HVAC system, especially if you get a lot of rain/snow/humidity. and do what someone else suggested and check around the doors and hatch for any water leaks.

hope that helps. oh and Febreeze the hell out of the seats and upholstery!

350Z never came with a cabin filter for any model year. Try and look it up online you wont find it, most Nissan Infiniti cabin filters start with the same prefix 27277-XXXXX.

I know that... I have searched but after seeing that site yesterday I was just
wondering how those guys could falsely advertise on their site that they could
do 350z owners a favor and provide them with clean cabin air via replacing
our in cabin filters....a$$es. lol

that looks like an auto generated article. Notice how they keep referring to the dealership in a retarded manner.

The dealership recommended that I get the in cabin filter changed out for $90. Seems pretty steep. So I go onto my350z.com and apparently there is nothing to change. Unbelievable. Glad I checked here first.

Old thread, but does anybody really know for sure what is up with dealers saying there is an in cabin filters? My local dealer is also charging $80 to change the filter and clean the ac system. There's other shops that does all that, all for the same price too. I'd pay for the service to get rid of that musky smell. But then the I find this:

"Blitz 18724 Hybrid A/C Filter Nissan 350Z Infiniti G35 FX35 FX45
Blitz Performance Hybrid Air Conditioner Filters are high performance air filters that is a direct stock replacements. This filter is powerful against dust and pollen. A perfect affordable upgrade for those who wishes to enjoy A/C. It is reuseable and easy to clean. Just rinse and dry! Help remove strange odors and maintain a clean car."
