You guys might have seen my Z evolve over the past 2 yrs...I recently sold my 03 Lexus SC430 hardtop convertible, so Finally my Z can sleep inside next to the Supe Dawg !! Now i'm falling in love with my Z's ass lately (lol).....you be the judge !!

A stock 6 speed tranny can do 200mph+, especially as high as the big power guys rev.
Interesting. I did not think the stock trans could handle that level of stress.
In a year or two, I have it planned to buy a used 350/370 Z with a 6 speed.
Redo the engine, trans possible and convert it to a TT. Two things I am
researching is the trans and rear end, I am looking for the car to be 180MPH or perhaps a 200MPH. The car would then be shipped to Europe for a 2 month
long vacation trip across the EU. We had hoped to do this with the 300ZX TT we had but reliability of a 16 year old car at those speeds was too great of a risk factor so we abandoned the prospect and liquidated that vehicle.

Just for clarification, I'm speaking of the Supra having a stock 6 speed. I am not well versed enough in 350z-land to know the limitations of the Z transmission.
