Default 07-08 hood on earlier model 350z?

Will the 07-08 hood that is raised in the middle work on a earlier model 350z?

lol
i see no design difference other than the bump in the hood.
personally i like the de hood better, but to each his own. i would see if a buddy of yours who might drive a HR would let you test fit it.

when i see the bump on the hood i associate it with an HR, so having a HR Z hood on a non-HR Z is kinda rice imo...

its like putting a twin turbo emblem on a Z thats not even turboed

the DE hood is alot nicer anyways imo...but its your car so whateva

lol get the hood if its what you like...
rice? i don't see how you get rice from a stock hood?
what would be the difference if he bought seibon hood, would that be rice?
not like he is putting a nos sticker in his window!

get the hood.
bolts up like stock.
no difference.

the reason why i consider it rice is because I associate it with an HR engine...strictly opinion based

if the OP likes the style then go for it, i just wouldnt do it because im not a fan of the bump in the first place

he didn't ask if you liked it...asked if it would fit.
Stay on task!

i partially agree with him
its like putting 06+ headlights and tails on a 03-05
like said before, its misrepresentation
but i dont think its rice
but to each his own, if he thinks it looks better, then so be it
i think the 06+ headlights would look better on my 03, does that make me a ricer?

only reason why i called it rice is because the hood means a more powerful engine is under it, and if there is infact a non-hr, less powerful engine, then its giving the illusion that the car is faster that what it really is...which is rice imo....of course theres situations where this is not applied such as if the OP has the power of an HR/turboed or something, then he has the power to backup the look of a stronger engine car

if you wanna base it on exterior looks and preference then it is not rice, as 06+headlights/tailights dont give others the impression that you have an HR or are trying to "look" like your faster

and you see an 07+ hood and dont automatically think it has an HR right off the bat then you wont see what im talking about

again not bashing on anyone as everyone is going to have their own opinions of rice

Bi-xenon headlights and LED taillights provide an upgrade from 03-05 headlights. Another bad example.

lol headlight switch is bad??? wtf......
the 06 tails and headlights are pimp...i know i have an 06...
and i dont think that is meaning its an o6 or 04...what does it matter?
03-06 are all the same....why would it matter if i was driving and said oh look thats an 06 cause of the headlights?? who cares what year it is, and unless he swapped the stock rims out then you would know anyways...so you are telling me if i had an 03 Z and put 06 touring rims on my Z then that would be wrong???

this whole thing is idiotic...who cares if he puts an hr hood on there...?
you are telling me that HR/DE are that much different in HP that it would be that big of a problem? I raced an HR before i had twins and it was neck and neck....

now if he put a r34 body kit on his 350z..then you might have something

LOL most stupid thing Ive ever heard.
Everyone even you want your car to look fast! No difference in getting an HR hood or after market with vents...And if you are driving around worried about HR z's then maybe you should just buy a KIA?

im not saying its anything bad, im saying its just a misrepresentation of the model, (which i forgot to state) that i have no problem with. a hood change isnt that much different than the purpose of headlight changes. its all exterior look.

i love how this thread got so offtopic lol

Very well said, a perfect definition if you ask me. There is no logical sane reasoning for this mod other than "looking faster" and the mod will not do that- which is rice, it's purely cosmetic. Someone up a little bit said "everyone wants to look faster"... yes this is true but we're not about to go and do pointless mods, why not put an intercooler while you're still N/A... oh and don't forget those TT badges for the rear.

The nay-sayers are only saying it because it's a 350z part.. but imagine if the OP wanted a evo bonnet (yes i know it won't fit, this is just an example) imagine the rice flaming then.
