Just picked up my 2007 350Z Roadster, USA model. It came with three single keys and one key attached to the electronic keyfob. I tried to find, without success, in the drivers manual whether the car originally came with 1 or 2 keyfobs. Can someone tell me if the vehicle originally came with1 or 2. If with 2 , and the original owner who sold it to the dealer, cannot find it, is my only choice to get it from a Nissan dealer ? If yes, any idea of cost.
Most people goes through dealer for this, It was the same for me too, It came with two keys, but one remote. I purchased one off ebay, put a new battery in, and i think on here quite a few threads bout reprogramming the keyfob. Its been working for me for about two years next month. Hope that'll help you out.
I initially got one key fob. I thought I would get two, like every other car I have owned, but apparently it's the dealers discretion since they are programable. I complained enough and they gave me another one before I left the dealership. I also had several cups of coffee and a few doughnuts, but that's irrelevant right now.
Buying a Z isn't exactley cheap and you would think dealerships would provide a level of service they would as if it was a luxury car. If I'm paying $30K and up for anything, it's getting washed and waxed. I hate using a dealership, but what other option do you have?
