Default Tapping into dome light

BTW First post, got my z 10 days ago. Need some help. 2003 350z performance. Looking to add LEDs to the footwells of the vehicle so people entering the vehicle can see where they are putting their feet. However i'd like to tap it into the dome light of the vehicle, so it would turn off and on when the door is opened. Does anyone have any advice on where i could find the correct wiring or where i would have to go to get the correct wiring to tap into? Thanks in advance for your time.

Thanks of the link that helped a lot. My only concern is the fact that he said to tap it into the purple and pink wires down at the driver foot kick panel. But doesnt say which is the + and which was the - . Red to possitive ( purple? ) and black to negative or ground ( Pink?)
