Default I need to buy a new keyless remote

Hi guys,

I bought a used 350z, I got 3 keys with it and one keyless remote. I want to buy another in case I lose it.

Is it me or you can't open the trunk of a 350z roadster without the remote? I searched for the trunk button everything but I didn't find it.

I was on ebay and saw something, a folding key remote. Anybody got one? It comes with a key and a remote, which I can program by myself I think? And about the key, I need to get it cutted, but do I need to do something else? Are the keys are chipped and can only be programmed by the dealer? If I already got 3 keys, can I use those keys to program the folding one?

Thanks

There is a release button over the license plate, small retangular rubber piece, push up on it to pop the hatch if the doors are unlocked.

But yeah, having a backup remote is a good idea.

I just bought a remote off of ebay for 20 bucks. OEM. If you already have three keys i would just get a remote. The keys are chipped and they will only do it at a dealer unless you trust someone on ebay to give them your VIN number, then they will cut and chip your key for you.

Yes, the keys are chipped as well as the remote and have to be programmed to your car.

Thanks guys.
I know the key can't be programmed without going to the dealer but seller on ebay are saying I can program the remote by myself, is it true?
I thought folding keys were cool, but I just saw that my friend got a Saturn and he has a folding key, so I will only buy the remote

Yes, you can program the remotes on Ebay yourself. I bought one as a spare and programmed it myself, works fine.
