So I'm new to the nissan world and I need to replace the plastic piece that spans across the front underneath the car (I believe it's called a splash-guard) and connects the two front fender linings together. I'm having a little trouble understanding the nissan part lingo, does anyone know the part number? Is this it? http://www.courtesyparts.com/74811-c...-p-187913.html

Yes, that is it. I am sure you could find used ones here on the forum. Just post in the want to buy (wanted) section. Lots of guys replace them with alum underpanels

$30 more gets you the Z Speed aluminum part. It'll last forever and you don't need to remove it for oil changes.

Hi there,

Sorry to rehash an old thread, but mentioned above was the fact that the splashguard needs to be removed for oil changes. Is this confirmed? I have not yet changed the oil in my new car but plan on doing it frequently (and removing the stock guard would be inconvenient). The previous owner was driving it without a splash guard and I definitely want to get one, so is it worth getting stock or should I use the aluminum?

You would have to remove the stock one every time you change your oil. That is why the aluminum one has a little access door you can use for easier oil changes.

you only have to remove two bolts and your oil plug to change your oil if you get the z-speed. check out the Fumoto drain valve that way you don't have to remove the oil drain plug.
