Thanks for all the compliments guys...
Yes I used a heat gun it's an absolute must... and some 3m primer 94 for only some of the edges, but most panels i was able to fully wrap around the edges more than 1/2 inch or more in some cases so it should help from any lifting/pealing. The body needs to be perfect underneath the vinyl or you WILL have imperfections, so in my case since the car in 6 years old now I had to sand and fill some of the front bumper and side skirts but was lucky enough the rest of the car was good to go!

Maybe it splits after a longer time period, or maybe I just got lucky

The oracal 970ra is about the same price as 3m 1080, at least where I live, and the online sites i've checked as well.
As far as removing the vinyl I also had to re-wrap many panels, it all pulled off easily, but where only on the car a month or so. Oracal offers long-term removability from painted surfaces, I have used the 3m 1080 as well, it is just about the same as the oracal just a tiny bit thinner.
I would have gone with 3m but the matte black is much more matte/less shine than the oracal.
Bumpers, Bumpers, Bumpers!!! Lots of heat is needed.
The hood was surprisingly hard because of the size, I would recommend helpers with the big panels.
The rest of the car was still difficult the first time around but much easier as you go.

This makes me want to pull the trigger on either matte white, red or black wrap. I did wrap my trunk in matte but thought it wasn't what I wanted and ripped it off a week later and holy efff this looks awesome.

I will probably be undertaking this project within a couple weeks. I love my Le Mans but repainting my v2 bumper 3 times a year is getting old and I could use a new scheme to play.
I see you had the fenders and bumper off the car. Would you say it is easier to apply the vinyl to those pieces with them on the car or do you think it might be easier to wrap them while you have them off? Also, did you remove the emblems from the painted surface and then mount them back over the vinyl or is that just outstanding knife work?
What was your process for prepping/cleaning the surface before you applied the wrap?

It is much easier to wrap the panels on the car except for the side skirts, due to their size and being low on the car, but removing panels makes a better wrap because you can wrap the vinyl around the edges a lot more.
All emblems were removed then reapplied over the vinyl, much cleaner vs cutting out the vinyl.
My cleaning process was as follows, I did one panel at a time, Wash, Claybar
Wax Remover, then Isopropyl Alcohol multiple times then vinyl. The surface under the vinyl MUST be perfect, I cant stress this enough, make sure the area you are working in is as clean and dust free as possible.
I would be happy to answer any other questions good luck!
