BMCCAN, where did you get that CF centerpiece for the dash?

Do you guys think a high grade vinyl would look cheap if using for the same purpose?

its too bulky.. try it, youll see what i mean.
Not exactly true. You can get good results with suede on moving parts like the cubby door. You'll just need to plan for the extra material and shave down your parts accordingly. My cubby door works better than it did before I wrapped it since I also took the time to shave the latch in order to make the action smoother.

Also, you're going to want to hunt down some 3M primer 94 to make sure the vinyl holds. With the complex curves, especially on the shift-surround, the adhesive backing won't hold on its own for long.

TPete19 - If you don't mind my asking, how did you shave your cubby door?

I'm having my center console and ac/ auto shifter areas wrapped in fabric material today and hoping fitment won't be too much of a PITA, since I'm doing install myself to help save money. I don't know what the materials called but it's not thin like scotchprint vinyl that self adheres bc I have some of that; which I will be using on the nav button.

Anyways..I have the stock nav/stock sterio and was thinking those eight corners are going to be the hardest parts for fitment. The guy doing it said he's done a few 350s center console and they had no problems but it was def a tight fit. Just to be safe I told him not to wrap the cubby door, just incase its too tight and cant lift.

What do you think??

Fitment was perfect after shaving everthing down.
I forgot to put the stupid silver gauge rings back on but it looks better without, or maybe I'll paint them black and put them back on

04SilverBulletZ - Do you know where can I buy that material? Right now, I'm sanding the whole console, and I was going to paint it, but now I'm not sure after seeing your results...

I had this local guy do it, like 20min from where I live. He had me hand pick the material from his warehouse but I don't recall the actual name or anything but he has a whole roll of it..

Sonnys Custom Auto Interiors
Stanton, CA
Tel # 714-826-8935

Ask him you want the same material as the kid who came in Saturday with the two center consol pieces for the 350z. His english is a little rough, so if you know it use spanish. Think his name was Marcos.

Hope this helps! If not you can always pick your own online!

Also if you do this, just remember to shave or have someone shave about 1/8-1/16" on the insides of the three circular ac ****. If you do the actual cubby door in material you'll have to shave that on all four sides as well, think I'll have that done in a few weeks...
