^ yes because then i can push the wheel out towards the lip more.. and its not swallowing a tire.. the tire barely fits in its mouth lol.
the inflated width on the 325 is just over 13" .. and its dead on 11 with the 295.
Think of the shape a stretched tire makes.. and how it allows a guy to poke the lip out past a fender.
now think of the exact opposite of stretch.. same angle.. sticking OUT past the tire.
means the whell face has to sit in way farther.
Like.. i pulled the 38mm spacers and used 20mm just to get it to fit.
THumbs down.
Right now the car looks like a pro street car w giant mickey thompson drag tires in the back.
Perhaps hard to explain in words etc.. but yes.. the wheel face sits way too far in.. and the extra overall diameter of the tire snugs it up not only to the top edge, but the leading and trailing edge of the flare.. like the entire edge lol.
I need it 1.5 inches less protruding (sidewall bubble) and the half inch in each direction for the tire being less tall will help too.

Lookin good man!! I might just do 295 square as well.. My rear is tight with the 305s on 11.5 too, I'd like to get the rim face out a bit more than it is, but the tire is holding that back. I can still get a 5-8mm spacer on the rear and clear, but barely. It's crazy how much the tire cambers in when you air out.

Yeah big time.. My previous fantasy land income situation comming to a screetching halt has really been a huge strain on life , let alone the car.
Wasnt prepared for it either, so i didnt leave myself much savings.. Just a string of bad decisions in hindsight but what can you do really.

Niceeeee it is almost getting done Brian!!! I have a question regarding your rear wide fender. After installing the Veilside V3 widebody kit I discover when I go sharp turn my rear tires is hitting the edge of the point where the rear fender and rear bumper are connected. How much off you have to cut that part and how you mod it so the rear bumper won't drop down? Can you show me some photos ? I see you cut a little but not too sure how much off I can cut it??? Wondering if you understand what I mean???

hey Weber.. yeah that area has to be radiused as well.. cut out.
you can see it in a few posts up.. the rear bumper needs a few inches trimmed out .. and you will wind up cutting off a factory bolt hole for the bumper.. you can just add another hole farther back yourself .

I was just looking through some pictures.
The widened front bumper on this and the way the front over fenders look with the stance. So freakin gnarly, brother. it is similar to what I was wanting to do, leave out the overfender for the front bumper and just cut and widen the front kit. Cant wait to see this thing with some paint/vinyl.

^^ thanks man.. yeah this pic is missing the bumper flare pieces still etc.. and it should all be "done" and assembled by the end of this week.. it wont be wrapped but it will be painted semi gloss black, and assembled fully ( aside from splitters.. that comes last)
then i can take some pics and start photoshopping color and perhaps livery.

yeah im gna need to go bigger than that.. this body style and overall design woudl look weird in a standard street car finish.. i think its gna neeed to be bolder than i originally thought.

alright.. so went and saw the car last night.. picking it up saturday.
WHile it will look 1 million times better all one color.. ive decided i dont like the fit in the rear.
The front looks so mega huge now that the rear actually looks narrower lol.
SO... ordered better fitting 295s for the rear.. ill bag these 325s until i buy multipiece wheels hopefully after summer....
also adding a 50mm spacer back on to these giving me -56 in the rear.. and will cut and reshape the rear flare piece to fit the proper width, tire size, camber and overall fitment. This way sidewall profile and camber will match front and rear.
It looks like an old camaro w drag slicks on the back right now lol.
End result will be way more aggressive than it is nopw and should be a simply fix as well.
will poke the wheels out as i like.. trim off the outter flare lip to retain... then slowly drop it while we cut and radius the existing flare to clear the tire
set the edge where we like it.. bond it w paint sticks or backstrapping.. double check.. and then let my f'glass guy fill it abck in and smooth it out.
end result will be a car that makes people behind me in traffic smile and take pictures... until it ruins their windsheilds .
Thats all i want..
from "daaaaymn!" to " aaaahgaddamnit!" in one swoop.
