I had reservations about these seats.. man was I wrong. .they are fantastic, very comfortable, much better than my current sparco, and I save another 12 lbs off those seats by using these as well. I removed the sliders and will just mount them right to the planted bases.
They were also fully ceramic coated fresh out of the plastic/box, will remain in great condition for a long time to come.

goodbye carbon fiber door panels.. hello clean and OEM looking.
upgrading to 06 door panels, and selling my carbon ones with the CAS door pods to my buddy and Stardast USA sponsoree for his build.
ALso, since im a 2005 and serial ECU vs CAN BUS, I have to wait until I get the AEM infinity purchased and installed, but I am yanking out 90% of the electronics in this car in favor of simplicity.. gauges, led stuff, aftermarket BS features left and right.. I want an electrically solid and easy to diagnose vehicle, and I can use a Racepak dash for 98% of the gauges I have in the car, see ing as though I can simply name them something else in the programming.. which I had no idea you could do..
I can literally take 2 oil pressure sending units.. set my own ranges and warning levels.. and then rename them " aircup" or "nitrous" etc.. same w temp sensors.. no need for separate gauges.. just scroll thru the four screens worth of read outs on the Racepak.
Fkn stellar.

in order to further save weight and simplify things.. I am actually going to use the same R Type Alpine 6x9s I have in my Chrysler daily and retrofit them to the Z.
I have all th room I could ask for in the back when I start to remove the speaker bar and cubby plastic and sheet metal down to the floor.. and the super slim profile and small magnet will allow me to finagle them in the front using a custom spacer.. Adding an additional Alpine tweeter in the OEM location will help bring sound up.. and drilling out the blocked holes in the OEM grilles will help also. Better bass and kick, less stuff fin the car.. less weight, less wires.

Whats wrong with your current setup?
That dash looks awesome, how much of the rear begind the seats did you cut out? Im playing with the idea of cutting all that out and just putting in a carpet for the back... Im not sure how much is structurally important though...

That's a Racepak mount I've not seen. I prefer the cleaner look without the surround as it gives more viewing space I believe.
I'll probably be going with a Haltech or Motec dash eventually, depending on what ECU I end up with.
Messed with a buddy's Dash2Pro, tons of programmable stuff like you mentioned. It's a lot of fun to play around with!

I haven't cut anything yet.. but the only structural part is the strut bar metal.. the rest is just plastic and light sheet metal for the speakers and the cubbies.. it will all be gone and recovered and carpeted.

Wow on the new direction you are going! I love the new stream lined look you are going for. Trouble shooting electronics is always a pain. Definitely should make things alot easier. I have always liked the racepak idea, can't wait to see it install with full interior shots after you get it all set up.

just ordered a set from Jay.. also getting rid of the mickey mouse gauges and had him send a normal cf gauge cover again lol.
Speaking of which... Changing my oem gague color back from the goofy RGB stuff to all white led with OEM red needles back on too.. just looks FAR classier. Bob said he'd swap it out for me super cheap.. fk it.
Will send back the speedhut to have them matched w red needles and similar tick marks.
