Stopped by this a.m. and the hood was up on stands outside getting wet/color sanded to be followed with a 3 step hand polish that has to be rinsed in between each step to get any residue off (what they told me) which will be approx. a 3 hr. process itself. They will remove stock 2 front under hood seal strips (front latch area) and install it on the new hood (since Nissan wants $96 for both new).
They said do you want to leave the car; install today? Well, he just dropped me off and I'll pick the car up in the P.M.! The hood looked awesome before all of these finishing steps.

All Done! The shop owner picked me up and I just got home; they did a great job with the hood! Some things I noticed right away, you can hear the blower whine more and see the blower pulleys/belt spinning at idle and when I parked the car I could feel heat pouring straight up 3 ft. above the center vents.

I personally think the hood is too aggressive for my tastes but it looks great on your Z. It appears the fitment and the paint are of quality as well.
You mentioned posting pictures of the work done by the body shop to get it to fit your engine bay properly. Do you have any pictures of what you were referencing earlier?

Drove out to a nice area a couple of miles from my house; kind of cloudy this a.m. so car looks darker. Here are some pics:
This is a cut that was made for SC clearance; the removed piece was re-installed upside down, glassed and smoothed/polished. Had to be done, but looks good. Underside is all polished; 3 vent areas that are a rougher fiber look on underside of them are now filled and smoothed out with a truck bed liner type of material, but not a polished look, plus vents are black underneath.
*I noticed some strange reflections; some look like demon faces hehe! This underside pic looks like a narrow reflection of a guy with a pull over hat on with big eyes (just in front of my finger in pic); don't know where that one came from, not me. Also 2nd and 3rd pics in post #98; faces in front of front wheels and yes, I found some peyote buttons earlier hehe!
shows close clearance over SC pulleys/belts. Bottom of about 1/2 of the front middle section louver had to be trimmed to clear so they trimmed the full lengths of all of these middle ones exactly the same so as to look uniform:
