Just went to pick up my new-to-me 2005 350Z today and on the way home I had an annoying little rattle from the dash piece that is just above the instrument cluster. If I put my hand on it it would stop. It appears that that piece is either a bit loose or there is something underneath touching it causing it to rattle. Any suggestions (other than just holding on to it) to get it off to see whats going on?

The car has only 43,000kms and is in prestine condition so this is kind of wierd. You would think the last owner would have dealt with it if it was easy.

I've taken my dash apart a few times, and had to address some residual rattles after assembly/disassembly.

A picture of the piece you reference would be helpful.
