Default Full underbody panel

I tried searching for any information on this subject but I came up empty. I'm wondering if any company or anybody has ever made a full underbody panel. It seems like there should be something out there that maybe connects with the zspeed panel to go all the way back. If anybody has any links to something in the past or just any information in general that would be great. Thanks

There are no full underbody panels available for the Z33. There may have been some custom panels made for race only applications, but nothing for the mass market.

Dang, was thinking that was most likely the case.

Looks like I may be attempting to build one myself. Has anyone attempted this and have any advice?

It'd be ideal to have a drive-on lift (or any professional lift)

buy sheets of quality cardboard sheets and do mock-ups with existing bolt holes along the undercarriage (you will probably have to tap some of your own)

Familiarize yourself with everything going on under your car (suspension, fuel lines, exhaust, etc. etc.) I'd read over the FSM extensively before attempting this to be safe.

The W-brace is the lowest point of a stock Z so honestly I'd uninstall it at first and run your skidplate over it (re-install once the skidplate is properly secure and even bolt to it if you can)

You'll need to be good with sheet metal, cutting wheels, and have to ability to make straight bends because your skidplate for not even be close to flat all the way along the bottom if you want to do it properly

I've never done this to my Z but these are just issues I could see arising

Good luck and post up progress if you attempt this

My question is why? The Z33 was designed with a certain amount of underbody aero management, but not a full tray. As a racer, I understand the benefits of having a fully enclosed bottom, but there are better ways to increase performance than going this route.

Search more there are threads...you will have to cut reliefs for some of the exhaust piping...dont forget to take cooling into consideration depending on how you design the system and transition into the rear diffuser.

It will be a lot of work...nothing off the shelf.

As mentioned the Z chassis is very good "as is"...

If anything replacing the plastic aero pieces below with metal or aluminite with nasa ducts. Which should add cooling to the cats/trans tunnel area that doesn't have a underpanel and the diff area.

Just check out various pics of the undercarriage of a R35 then compare to a Z33 you'll see the missing and needed pieces!

I've had plans to do something myself, but you know life gets in the way lol

There was a project started a few years back, don't think it was finished. They were looking at getting a group buy/investors and needed 10 people.

It can be done. Here is an example on the full underbody panel for the Honda S2000. Just to give you an idea.

Thank you everyone for all of the responses. Lots of good information here. It would be interesting to try this project with any free time. I have access to a lot of tools but unfortunately no lift which would help greatly. One of my concerns if I were to attempt this would be what everyone has mentioned as far as heat and also ensuring the air is directed properly and I don't make a huge parachute. Something like that s2000 would be perfect, the honda guys get all the cool stuff.

CIANCI USA is the company was going to make the complete panel. Did any body know why did they bail out on this project? Was it because they think they could make any profits from it, or was it because the cost of the kit is too high? It is pretty obvious there was a market for this kit because ten people are already signed up.
