Hey all

I have an 03 Touring and my head light leaked and since the ballast is at the bottom my driver side HID blew. Is it cheaper to replace the ballast or get a 4300K PnP HID kit to replace it? Also, since this car has OE HID's, can I even replace them with a kit? I swapped the ballasts last night to check if it was the bulb or ballasts and I may have shorted out the second ballast, still not sure though.

Right now I baked them open to dry out the condensation and I want to get more sealant to put them together. Which one do you guys recommend?

Do you have your fender liners in place? Normally, you will not get enough condensation inside the headlights to destroy your ballasts.

No. One ripped after running over a dead dog on the freeway and second came off a few weeks after lowering car.

They leaked because I did the "black housings" and I guess didnt seal properly. Its already been a few weeks though, then after last wash water got in.

With no fender liners, your headlights are exposed from underneath. The ballasts are located on the bottom and I suspect they are totally exposed. You really need to get fender liners back on your car and I believe your "water in the headlight" problem will disappear.

Great advice here. i have the same problem since my fender liners are gone as well. My question though is why is only my drivers side messing up and have water in it then? The passenger one is just fine

You are probably lucky that only the driver's side has stopped working. You really need the fender liners in place before making any repairs to the headlights.

See I was thinking the same thing when I working as a delivery driver and they were pressuring me to drive with the one and I said no cause if the other goes out I'm screweeddd. Thanks for confirming my fears though. Guess I gotta look into getting that fixed
