Swapped Evo-R Eyelids with Blue Bat Eyelids
Hey all. Since reinstalling my eyelids after my car accident, I was never really happy with them. I did not like how they fit. They lifted in the back, even after taking them off and reapplying them with stronger 3M tape. I didn't want to take off the eyelids since I like them, but the fit was driving me crazy. After doing some research I came across Blue Bat Overlays. I figured for the price it was worth trying.
Andy is a great guy. His response time is excellent. When I emailed him he gave me his cell number just in case if I wanted to contact him right away. The quality of the vinyl was excellent. Actually before I installed them I thought the color was off quite a bit and got real nervous, but I figured I would install and see how they looked. Once installed and against the black vinyl (I got the 2 layer) it looked much darker and much closer to the car color.
Overall I am very happy with the product and would recommend Blue Bat to anybody looking for vinyl.
Now the pics...
Little teaser of the winter wheels...

I see eyelids on some cars and think it looks horrible. I actually had eyelids on my Civic and took them off after 2 days because I didnt't like how they looked.
I think the eyelids just work with certain cars, and I think the 350Z is one of those cars. It has big headlights and the front is fairly aggresive stock, especially with the HR hood. I took off my evo-r eyelids and considered not putting on the overlays, but I stared at my car for about 10 minutes and knew I wanted the eyelids on.
I get compliments all the time for the eyelids. I think it just gives my Z more "attitude"
I also think it just works better on dark cars because of the contrast to the headlight.

got mine on tonight (couldn't get any good pics though since it got dark on me) the first layer was easy, the second layer was a little trickier, it wanted to stick to the other layer of vinyl more than the first one did to the headlight.
if anyone wants to do this it is easy and cheap... when you get them you will see a line of the clear lens where it turns to black on the inside of the lens by the engine, i lined mine up with that and it is almost perfect, before i got all the water out, i closed the hood and looked to make sure it lined up with the hood to my liking.. will get some pics up tomorrow

Yes that works also, although most 350Z headlights are not black so I was generalizing with saying darker cars, but yea anything with a high contrast I think looks best, whether it is a black car with stock headlights or a white car with black headlights.
