Default Corbeau Seats

Has anyone heard anything about the Corbeau RRS, RRB or RRX seats? Especially in a Z? Im really thinking about Corbeau so I can keep my heated seats option. What do you guys think?

I was looking into Corbeau seats last year and they didn't have these. These seats must be new. I'm very interested, they look really nice and at a great price!

I just purchased a set of Corbeau CR1s and installed them a few weeks ago while the weather was still decent. Their customer service was excellent [at least with me] and if you call or email they should be able to answer any/all questions you have before you decide to purchase.

My biggest issue was deciding between the LG1 wide or another style. I went with the CR1 wide due to fitment issues and couldn't be happier. Just call them or email and ask.
I searched "Corbeau" on this site before buying and I've never seen a Z with those type of seats so not sure what kind of response you'll get from other members.

What mounts did you use for your CR1's? Looking on amazon atm...

Corbeau actually sells the mounts separately and the cost varies depending on whether or not you get the single or double locking sliders.

Just a caution though and i found this out the hard way. When you install aftermarket seats in a 350Z [I have an 05 so your model year/make may differ?] there's a small guide post sticking up from the floor on the driver's side. That will either have to be cut off or filed down with a dremel. Also be careful removing them. I accidentally broke one of the welds on the bottom and had to take it somewhere to get it fixed to get ONE screw to properly go back in.

You have the option of searching for other types of aftermarket mounts, but for me it was just easier to get everything in one shot.

Corbeau has been around for quite some time. Top Gear UK uses them in their reasonably priced track cars. Another brand to look for is Cobra, they have been around for a while. Both great alternatives to Sparco, Recaro or mad tyte JDM Bride seats. I'm picking up a set of BiMarco seats from Poland, very cheap and FIA approved.

Haven't heard that name in many years but they've bee around and seem to still be making some nice seats. The ones you chose look great.

I had a Corbeau racing seat which outlasted my car (doesn't help when you go "all four off" in the Sears esses but hey...) and sold them to another Datsun racer.

Dunno though, I really like my stock seats. Feels as good as the old BMW 320iS Recaros we used to put into our S30s.

Can't wait to see pics of the install.

Edit: Just went back to look at them again.... they're STILL rightly priced! Just saw that the pricing on their site is for a PAIR! Can't see how you can go too wrong with them!

If heat in the seats are a primary option, Recaro makes the Sporster CS and CS Cross with heat:

Here is what they look like in the G35 mounted with Recaro manual sliders and Wedge Engineering mounts:

^That is not a standard finish for the sportster seat, also you can buy a set of corbeau seats with stuff to install for the price of one of those seats.
