replacing license plate lights at back



the lights that illuminate your plates at the back at night. would it be legal to replace it with red lights.

I live in ontario

I live in ontario they say it's a distraction. As some police officers will let it go some will not. Back years ago I had a under light kit on a car they pulled me over multiple times. Do some nice LEDs instead.

dunno I have a grey 08 Z and im tryna get the grey and red look.

o well I wont do it then, still my Z gonna look nice by summer time
