Default Replacing Exterior

Over the past couple years I have had a year round daily commute of 122 miles a day for work. That commute is finally over however between the drive and working in a very sketchy neighborhood it has taking it's toll on my z.

Every body panel is damaged except for the front right fender. I need to replace it all before this coming winter and the rust gets even worse every where. I will be replacing the front/rear bumpers, both rear quarter panels, and the front left fender. Can anyone provide direction/experiences buying aftermarket products. I really don't want to spend over 2k on all OEM panels.

Thank you in advance

You need to up your budget if you want OEM / good quality. Are you including paint in that budget?

you know you have to cut factory welds to get the rear fenders off, right?

Having just done a refresh of my Z33 racecar, I'd suggest you find a body shop that can work on straightening--not replacing--the QPs. If they are damaged so badly the OPs need to be replaced, get ready to spend nearly your entire $2K budget on that repair by itself.

For the other removable body panels, consider buying the F&R bumper covers and that fender locally. Shipping will eat into any savings you get from a discount retailer online b/c they are so large. Check the local salvage yards for the fender and research the local body shop supply outlets for remanned bumper covers.

Yeah I had no idea. Apparently neither did the body shop cause they didn't say anything about it. I appreciate the info though

I appreciate the detailed response! I had no idea going into this that the quarter panels were so involved. I'm just trying to weigh out if there is any benefits to keeping it. Right now it's looking like I'd be paying out way to fix it then to take the loss on the trade in.

Dare all you like, but you just raised the cost of your bodywork project by a factor of two.

A perfect fitting aftermarket piece is about as likely as winning the lottery. (especially to the extent you're planning)

Wow well thanks guy I appreciate the responses. Gave me much better insight into why actually needs to be done than the auto body shop ever did.

Just know, I'll give you a great deal. Our parts are fiberglass and not as easy to work with as OEM. But it's also a 1/4 of the cost.

Could post a better example picture of your product. I would be interested in a price quote. I need a front bumper, left fender, and rear bumper. I'm abandoning the rear quarter panels for now. V2 front bumper or stock 08 replica. How would you say your fitment is in rebuttal to way was previously mentioned in the thread.
