Default Exterior paint issue

I bought a used 2004 350Z back in March and had the dealer re-paint the trunk lid because it was a schlock paint job that also had bubbles in the paint.
Two weeks later, I get the car back and it looks fine. Once the Georgia sun worked on the car, I started to get bubbles (blisters) on the trunk lid, but in a different spot than before.
The dealer contacted a Nissan dealer near his location, who told me this is an issue with which Nissan is aware. He suggested that I have him take pictures of the problem and send to Nissan for help.
My question is have any other members run across this type of problem, and did Nissan do anything for you? Thanks in advance.

No, you are def getting a run around. I'm in GA, had my pass door sprayed 2 yrs ago, it looks awesome.
Where the problem is now, was that included in the repair?

Never heard of paint bubbling problems specific to the Z33.

Thanks guys.
JHC-I'm in Woodstock, GA and took the car to a local auto-body place to re-paint and he didn't want to do it. I guess it's time to get other opinions. In response to your question, yes, the new problem is on a different area of the trunk lid. Supposedly, the whole lid was re-painted.

If the new problem s inside the area he previously did, it's on him. Sounds like he didn't use a quilty paint, or poor prep.
So, you have a choice to make. Ask this guy to redo his work (not sure I'd trust him, esp if he doesn't stand behing his work), or lay out more money w a new shop. gl

JHC, was the shop that painted your door successfully one of the larger chains (i.e. MACCO) or local? It might be worthwhile to drive the car there from Woodstock. Depends on how far they are from me.
Thanks.

Thanks.
Actually, yes. Tony has worked on 3 of my cars with excellent results. I am always very clear up front that I EXPECT excellent work, and he comes through. I'm willing to pay his 1st quoted price for good work, so I don't try the negotiating game.

They're in Roswell.

JHC, Finally got around to getting my trunk painted by MAACO, like you suggested, although at a location closer to me.
It was expensive but looks great. Hopefully, it stays that way. Thanks for your help, MAN!

I'm glad you got good results from a MAACO location; I've always considered MAACO the Walmart of body shops.

You may be absolutely right, we'll see. But Walmart has a liberal exchange policy and Maaco has a guarantee
