the difference between high brackets and low brackets would be 1" max , but probably less

i am 5"10 too

at the end of the install IMHO you don't want to feel like you are sitting higher than stock

but its your choice

most people want to sit stock height or lower , but not higher

True. I was thinking stock height. But if the diff is only 1" then its not a big deal. I will have to be picking up some brackets. For the price, I think I will go with authentic sparco as I cant find anything cheaper than 140/each

My Bride seats (vorga) are recliner style and I bought the rails separately, they are Bride "hyper low". I don't know the amount of drop from stock, but they sit lower no doubt. These seats are awesome; good for DD because they don't have high bolsters to crawl over for easy in/out. *got 'em from Nengun direct from Japan.

http://www.sparcousa.com/product/r600

they have 600 series now , about $800 in fabric , double that for leather or alcantara

digo bride are like $900 in fabric , same bolsters as big blue's vorga , but if you get digo type r then bolsters like mine

Your seats look great! They are more comfortable and functional than stock seats, but they provide the same ease of egress.

I think those Sparco 600 series and the Digos both are good looking seats and pretty similar look, cost to. Bolsters aren't too high on either also.

I don't know if your stock seats had the air bags or not, but if they did you have to plan to do the air bag trick to keep the light off; I did kind of a how to on one of the threads here that was already going. It worked well so far on mine; even did the weight sensor install from stock pass. seat into the new pass seat which was kind of a weird process, but it worked out. The Sparcos I was just looking at had a little warning for the air bag issue.

If you go with these sport/race type of seats try to end up picking a model that has a good strong back of seat for safety and support; mine are like a shell (I think with Kevlar) that looks cool and functional. *if you want me to show a pic of the backs I will. Good luck on it all, I know it involves a ton of looking/reading about the many choices out there; kind of fun searching around too. Your seats will look great in your car and you will be glad to have them.

Nice! so you were able to put the weight sensor in your racing seat? Did you also transfer your seat heaters?

I know I saw a thread where someone did that, but not sure if its ever been done by anyone else. would be very nice to keep seat heaters, though I never drive the car.

As far as the seats do I really like the R333 so I may continue the hunt for some at a decent price.. Or I may even consider the r100, as they looked good in a Z(posted here somewhere). just not sure if the R100 really is a lower quality seat, or just doesn't look as fancy and cool as the R333

The r100 is pretty bad. I mean its not like HORRIBLE CHINESE CRAP. But its more of a, i shouldve spent more fore more comfort.

I have the r100 and can post pic if you like. Im actually thinking about upgrading to bride reim, but at 2.3k a piece, thats an iffy decision.

Thanks for the info! the takata seats look really nice. I may still continue the hunt for the R333 then, as Im not in any rush and really like them. I wouldnt mind the takata street Pro LE either, but for a little more than that I can get into some Brides.

turboed - So the R100 is not worth it then? it is significantly cheaper than the R333, and even cheaper than the Bride knockoffs. Is it at least above the canada Bride level? lol

I have not used any onocknoff seats so i cant say on their quality. I went with sparco because i trust them more than knock off seats in an event of a crash. Comfort wise, theyre decent at best. Do hold pretty well. Wont give you any back problems on an hour or 2 long trips.

However, cushion wise, they were inferior to my old corbeaus. Not very plush at all. Fabric was ok. Over all, theyre worth what you pay, but for a few 100s more you can get much better seats.

I paid around 1.2k (thats with tax) for both passenger and driver so it wasnt too bad.

only buy Japan Brides , do not buy anything else as far as Canadian or Replica

its a safety concern

no amount of savings is worth sacrificing your safety

http://www.avb-sports.be/custom-interior/seats/19401/

veilside also makes a nice reclining seat FRP about $800 and CF + $
you can get them thru versus trading

I wanted the veilside seats a while back as someone was selling a used set for 1300 a few years ago. forgot all about those. They do look great.

A lot of choices to think about!

As far as sparcos go, its either R100 or r333.

Bride digo or cuga are the only ones that would fit comfortably.

Takata street pro LE

Maybe veilside not sure which series yet.

definitely wouldnt buy reps myself as I like authentic parts and also safety is important.
