2006 Aftermarket Tail Lights - Plugs differ
Hello - first time post, naturally it's a problem. I've got a 2006 Z, decided to get some lightly smoked tail lights to darken it up a bit. I found the following lights and got them in today.
http://www.cgdistribution.com/prods/...n.html#enlarge (Smoke)
The distributor says 2003-2006, but I know the 2006 has LED, confirmed when I took them out this morning. Went to go plug in the new lights - seem to fit into the frame fine, but the plug from the car differs from the tail lights, as seen below.
Is there some form of an adapter I can use for this or are these lights just not compatible? Not very experienced with this, so feedback is appreciated. Thanks.

It's a shame, I actually really liked the look of the tail lights. So is the only real alternative to have a film over the OEM? It seems that there aren't really any actual light options for the 06 LED tail lights. I'm basically trying to just darken the overall look of the car - I don't necessarily want completely blacked out tail lights, as that seems like it could push being illegal. Having a hint of red in daylight is fine, obviously staying with the law here in NC. The lights I bought were just a darkened red with a different pattern than OEM.
Any recommendations are welcomed, as I begin to start a little work on the Z. Again, new to this - so feedback is appreciated!

There aren't any aftermarket lights that will look better than the OEM's. If you could plug those other ones in, you'd see the difference in brightness. As mentioned, if you must, tint the OEM's. Also, if you try the search function, you find plenty of previous threads showing the various options. You'll learn a great deal about your new Z by searching and reading for yourself. It's a 13-year old car, so you won't come up with anything that hasn't already been done and discussed before.
