Thank you all for your replies i really appreciate it. Lets be cool.

i dont prefer to put shade in my car but thats just my opinion. thank you!

I like the video of hydro dip but i wonder how long it will last, you can probably tell that i want something long lasting, ( i just payed off my car and I'm so proud lol)

The factory paint or material/ paint used i guess isn't so good, i bought my z with the scratches on the center lid panel, door handles etc.

So either hydro dip or vinyl rapping or real carbon fiber is what i think ill do. I just want it to last longer. it just looks like the real carbon fiber is appealing and seems like the material is long lasting.

I replaced all the sh!tty rubberized coating inside my Z a few years ago with hydrodipping, and it still looks as good as new. The top-coat is a high-grade automotive clear, just like the paint of the body panels. I keep it clean and waxed, and that's all it will ever need.

EDIT: Forgot to mention - Do NOT send your parts to JM Auto Racing (a vendor on this site) to have them hydrodipped. They did mine the first time, and their work was deplorable and of the lowest-quality. Had to fight with them for a refund, with the help of the mods here and my CC company.

dcains that looks dope!! i want to see more pics if you don't mind sharing!

and you said you have had that for a few years?

just curious did you spend a lot on that?

I would like mine to be dark i would do my whole center like you did and all the way down to the arm rest!

the only thing is that everything else would look old, like the dash panel, i would have to do something about that.

also, the lid that opens up where you have the gps, i wish to put the old model lid where it pops open and slides backs so i can put the indash gps in their. and leave the stock radio. thats my preference

I think I paid ~$400, but that includes the waterfall, shift surround, the door a/c vents. door pulls, and the rear strut bar panel. There are many different patterns you can choose from, and mine actually is darker than it looks in the pics.

You can't put the older retracting cubby in the later HR center dash panel. The old waterfall is very different, and you can't mix-and-match. The door sticking out shields the GPS from glare, though, which is nice.

Just like dcains said go over to Carbon Fiber Element website and check them out,They did my arm rails in a copper carbon fiber and a custom steering wheel to match, I was still able to keep my airbag it is totally beautiful, Tony does excellent work. It cost a bit more but isn't your Z worth it, just do it the right way if you really want to be proud of your ride I'll PM you photos if your interested heck I just might put photos up on this site!

If I had to do it again, real CF is what I'd choose. Over $1000 for the pieces I had done, though. I may still do it one of these days.

What's that like on a sunny day? Seems it's so shiny that it would cause some glare. Really good looking though...

I'm in Florida, and that was a sunny day. You can see some glare on the gauge faces, and one of these days I'll paint the scalloped areas below the gauges flat black, or maybe use some flat black vinyl. Other than that, no issues.
