I have a nissan 2008 350z base (stock)

I played around alittle and plasti dipped the panel because I hate the interior quality, it's terrible!!!

Im thinking about going carbon fiber. I want something long lasting, this plasti dip was just an experiment. If you have pics or advice please let me know

I was thinking to go carbon fiber for the center consoles. But I obviously want it to last for a long time. Also i wanted to put a indash screen where the storage compartment is and keep the stock radio. The older models with navi I think have the storage compartment that flips open and goes back in the slot. I would like to do that first and then pain the panels or go carbon fiber.

Evo-r.net sells a complete carbon fiber dash cover kit for the center console and door switch covers. Some on ebay from miscellaneous shops. Just stay away from the "3d carbon fiber look" kits, theyre easy to spot, theyre the ones under $200. Evo-r is overseas. I know thezstore.com stocks some of their products. Theyre who i purchased my 1/2 carbon wing from.

Don't do it. That's just a bunch of thick stickers, and it will look like @ss with all the edges exposed.

Choices that don't look bad (worst to best):

-3M vinyl wrapping

-hydrodipping or painting

-real CF wrapping, such as from Carbon Fiber Element

Search the forums and see what others have done.

I think you should vinyl wrap it. I think the shiny black looks really cheap for some reason.

3M wrap is a viable solution. Do a search for Don Ngyuen for some high quality examples of what can be acheived. Patience and a heat gun seem to be the key to budget friendly DIY that will last and look good.

Ive ignored your ignorant bashing long enough. Keep my family out of this.

Edit: youre a poor excuse for a man if youll stoop as low as attacking someones family. How pathetic.

OP, I'd suggest hydrodipping that piece. I've had my waterfall done twice, but only because a section near the gauge cluster didn't seal properly and cracked and peeled.

You can get it in carbon fiber or any other color/pattern you desire.

Back on track.

Your cheapest option is to paint it. Total cost will be roughly 20 bucks.

Hydrop dip is a bit more expensive, a wrap job can be cheap if you do it yourself, but can also look cheap.

I painted my cubby door and it matched the oem color pretty well, id say about 90%. Total cost was $1.10.

I just grabbed a can of cheap walmart paint flat black, few light coats, and it covered the scratches but still have the pingpong texture.
