6D carbon fiber interior wrap
I wanted get some c.f. for my interior but they are way too pricey and the stick on c.f. looked kinda cheap. So I decided to just wrap the interior with some 6D c.f. wrap. I chose the 6D Because of the gloss and It's resemblance to real c.f.
let me just say this was not easy at all, lol. Esp with the 6D the vinyl is thicker with the gloss, so the center console was very difficult to do... Omg my fingers all sore and hot and cut, but it came out great.

Yea, I thought I could get away with not using the adhesive promoter since the vinyl itself is sticky, but I was wrong, lol. I actually have the spray but decided not to use them.
here's a pic for evo R website. The real CF. They actually look the same.

I believe 6D wrap is too thick for sharp curves and edges. I just ordered some better quality 3D CF wrap. Its a lot thinner and easier to work with, but it's not glossy and little bit more expensive. This time I will use the 3M adhesive spray to tighten up the edges.

Maybe too much heat? My gun is adjustable up to 900-degrees, but I wouldn't set it like that for wrapping. There's a guy on bimmerfest.com who does amazing work with the 5D vinyl, but he does use the 3M Primer94:

Yes I did use the heat gun. And that guy from bimmer forums is wu wraps. His wraps comes out real nice. I believe 6D is not easy to wrap for a beginner like me. U also need to use a primer which I didn't use. My wrap has started to bubble up in certain spots. I decided to go another route. Something easier. 3D wrap, which is more common and easier to work with since its a lot thinner, no gloss.6d is the closest to the real thing tho. But it's for more advanced wrappers. this time I am going to use 3m 94 primer, and I will do 3 coats of valspar clear coat to give it a little shine.

U have to use a heat gun in any vinyl application. It wasn't the heat gun that caused the bubbling. There was some binding in corners and edges. And I also didn't use the primer which helps alot. U need to able to stretch the vinyl on the curved areas, or else it will look like crap.
