Do they make ultra stiff ones? The hatch is practically unusable now

Yeah, not cheap from them.

But the other extreme is you buy the ones for $30 on EBay and pray.

I bought a pair for one of my other cars and they weren't the right ones so now the hatch on that car is without any support and that hatch weighs a ton! (Ordered and waiting on the right OEM ones...)

You could go with the Z1 Upgrade struts which will more than likely do the trick and are only $73

I have the HP Z1 hatch shocks since they are the cheapest version and with just the stock little lip spoiler I have to put some effort into pulling the hatch down. Once you get it moving it's fine but when it's fully open it wants to stay there.

I use a piece of wood to hold my hatch up

But I had good luck with the Z1 struts when they were installed.
