Default Power seat

Is there anyway to do any bypass to test the motor on my seat and to get it to recline? The seat is stuck in a very straight upright position which makes it hard to drive comfortably. For now I would like to recline it a tad til I can find a motor and switch. Common sense tells me to take a 12v battery to some wires but which set of wires? Any help would be appreciated

I did have a stuck seat before as well. Although I just took some electrical parts cleaner, and cleaned the brushes on the motor, as well as the switch. My issue was actually the switch getting clogged up with dirt, and other ****. I didn't find any other threads when I tried to find info about moving the seat back so I presume it is not worth the time or effort to temporarily move by hand.

Good Luck with the fix!

I actually just did just did this the other day, I just tapped into the plug (pictured below) on the switch end of the plug, and did red to (+) and black to (-) and then it powered the seats. Hope this helps ...

Pictured is driver's side seat, tap into the clear end of the plug.

Sorry for late reply and update. So after taking the seat out, removing the side electronic switches to clean them(didnt work), then tried to jump a few wires from +/- to the seat wires (bunch of sparks no movement), then removing the four man bolts on each side that connect the upper seat to the lower seat to reach the motor for cleaning I then took a 18v battery from my drill and ran wires from the motor connection to the battery and it finally reclined. So I ghetto rigged it for now by leaving the two wires connected to the seat motor and tucked it under the seat. That way if needed I can take the battery again and move the seat that way til I can locate a switch.
