what is Nismo Y pipe worth

i sold my Nismo s-tune rear section and mid pipe but the guy who purchased it already had an aftermarket Y pipe. i have some people who are interested in it but i don't know what it's worth used. it's in pretty decent condition, the flex pipes arent totally shredded up like you usually see. any REALISTIC advice is very much appreciated.

hey guys ill be picking up an injen ses trual dual exhaust track edition this weekend , with titanium tips. couple questions I have is ....

1. its going for 500 and it was on the sellers car for 5k miles is that a good price?

2. is it loud enough I want something loud , I have aam test pipes atm

3. any bad reviews on the exhaust , I searched but didn't find any

I came across a Nismo exhaust (less the y-pipe) and with a somewhat limited budget for the y-pipe, what do you guys suggest I buy? Looking for a good balance between sound and performance. I really would like to stay at $300 or less.

Opinions, about to bite the bullet!!

Hey all.
Well its getting close to that time of the year...Christmas!! As a result, my xmas list consists of a couple items for my Nismo...an exhaust!!!! I have narrowed it down to two, but I was searching, but I can't seem to find a thread that allows me to make a decision. I have narrowed it down to the HKS hi-power exhaust and the Motordyne Shockwave Dual Ti. I have listened to both sound clips, and to be honest with you, it makes me want to have two 350zs with each having both exhaust systems on it. However, its not gonna happen for me :) I want your opinion and possibly expert advice! HKS or motordyne? I like the way the HKS looks compared to the MD, with having the mufflers at the rear of the system comapred to the straight pipe design of the MD, but I guess the aesthetics should not play too much of a role. I am looking for solid power gains and great sound. That's where I want your help. I also plan on getting test pipes as well, more than likely the AAM test pipes for the HR engine, as I have read they work very well, with no CEL problems?? Any insigh would be appreciated, as well. All in all, I am seeking advice, input, and opinions on the two exhausts, the pros, cons, benefits, difficulties, fitment issues, etc. My car is a 2008 350z Nismo. Thanks so much everyone!:thumbup:

i wanted to start a thread where people could post pictures and their experiences with all the different exhausts that greddy makes. Attached is a picture of my greddy ti-c turbo true dual. i have it paired with Crawford HFC's and DC headers. the passenger side tubing is very close to the rear sway bar. probalby less than 5mm clearance. anyone else having that issue?

very quiet compared to my old set up: JIC Spartan ST, non resonated midpipe, JIC Y pipe, and test pipes.

it's a crappy iphone pic but i'll snap some better ones with my dslr later today.

Need Help - Resonator Rattle

Hey guys. I've got an '06 with stainless steel exhaust. The baffle inside the resonator on the right side is loose and makes a HORRIBLE rattle. The stealership quoted me $350 + parts to make the fix and I laughed. How much should I really be looking at with an exhaust shop? It can't possibly be that expensive of a repair can it?

Any advice would be appreciated as I'm a new Z owner (used to drive Jeeps) and I'm still learning...

Converter/Exhaust Gasket!

Anybody else had problems with their exhaust gaskets that came with their test pipes burning up. Now it sounds like metal on metal rattling under the car. I've pinpointed that it's where the cat-delete pipe runs to the header...anyone else have this problem????

I hear N/A is ok for automatics, as long as they are just bolt on mods. Does the triptronic make a differance on what you can add or not add? Please easy on the sarcasm I'm not a mechanic. Geez maybe this is why Im on the forum too ask and learn. If i was a mechanic I would make my own educated decisions. I wouldn't be here asking questions.:werd:

I put on test pipes yesterday, I'm thinking of putting on a new plenum spacer non HR motor. I already have a stillen CAI. What kind of gain am I looking at if I install a plenum along with the other two mods? Any guess's?

I just bought the Stillen exhaust used from someone locally. It seems to be missing the pipe from the cat to the resonators....

^ that pipe in the front of the car was not included in the exhaust.

Is that a Y - Pipe?

He actually did the install for me and it does sound good.

Will it hurt anything if I leave it the way it is with the stock pipe? Basically, after cats is the stock Y pipe then the Stillen exhaust with the mid pipe resonators and mufflers. I understand that the stock Y pipe has a smaller diameter than the exhaust? It is also said that it is the most restrictive part of the exhaust.... I've heard that it's ok to run it like that but the other way around it would negatively affect back pressure?

Will my set-up suffice? I just forked over some cash for it and now I'm a little disappointed that it didn't come with it...

Any suggestions? I might end up purchasing a different Y pipe...

I was looking at the greedy

Stock Exhaust Resonance

Is resonance an issue with the Stock Exhaust?
I just noticed that since it's been a little colder out, I'm hearing a bit of resonance through the exhaust around 1500-2000rpm.
If it's a normal issue, than no biggie, but I looked and don't see any cracks anywhere, nor are any of the bolts loose.
I DID Search, but the only stuff I really found was related to aftermarket systems.
