C5 and I had a rough night on CTF last night. As our levels go up, the games will get tougher and tougher, which is why we HAVE to start playing against each other in Private servers.

It's the only way we will learn each other's playing styles and improve our use of the compass, verbal communication and take notice of what area of the map we HAVE to contain. We got raped on HQ Invasion (or karachi?) last night because the enemies kept taking the higher ground in the buildings over B. Every single time they were up there. You can't control a HQ from the ground alone. You have to have campers in the higher areas.

No matter how many times this happens to us, no one ever seems to "get it." Same thing with when we contain an area. We ALWAYS do better. You may not always be the guy with the most kills, but your deaths will ALWAYS be lower if you stick to the tactic. Thats beneficial to the team as a whole. If you win the game you will make up for the experience points you didn't get in kills. There's always that one guy who has to go against the grain and the whole team suffers for it.

You have to adapt your style to the situation and the map so sometimes that may mean sending a team of two floaters with the appropriate kits out from the containment area to flank the enemies. Once you have the enemies focused on the area you are containing and they are starting to stand outside and try to frag/flash ect, it's easy to flank them and divert their attention. Zmazing this would be a good assignment for you- at the right time in the game.

That being said, if anyone is down to play some TDM, FFA, CTF and HQ in a private server tonight, let me know. At least this way we will have a fairly pressure free enviornment, be able to have a quick roundtable after each game, get better AND have fun. Beleive me, the awesome clans that are raping us on certain games do it EVERY night.
