Just wondering because mine goes off every once in a while. I had it checked by a dealership the first few times and it was just sensors pulling errant readings due to my mods (supercharger, intercooler, exhaust). After that I probably have it go on once a month. Now I just unhook my battery for a few hours and reconnect it so the ses light goes away. Of course I always make sure the engine isn't overheating, no power loss, no oil pressure drop, check oil levels, etc etc....

What I'm wondering is if other people have the ses light go on this much and if they bother taking it in?

Well seeing as im still a student, and my irresistible addiction to shift at 4,500-5,500 is getting me 12.8 MPG and its really breaking the bank. Does anyone know the best rpm to shift at to get increased fuel mileage? Its almost all driving around town so i dont expect anything too crazy but still 15 would be nice.

It just seems like economy shifting in a Z is so wrong.:dunno:

I just recently pulled my transmission in order to do some work, but I ran into a snag. once i put the tranny back in and put tranmission fluid in it. I went for a drive and it felt fine, but after about 10 miles the transmission began to grind while trying to put it in every gear!! I'm not using OEM fluid but mobil one 75-90. I was wondering if this could be the problem or maybe the clutch needs to be bled. I have doubts on it being the clutch.

I bought some OEM MTF fluid this morning and IM going to see if that does the trick. I was just wondering if anyone else had this issue?

Also I sold the car in my sig I have an 07 HR with the not so awesome CSC setup.

I'll get right to the point. The current 4.083 final drive gear option, comes as an OEM part from a Nissan Frontier. I believe its from the 1997 to 2004 models front differential which happens to be an R200A. Seeing as how the 4.083 requires no modifications to fit, then these shorter gears offered as upgrades to the Frontier's R200A, should also fit without modification to our R200.

It's the ones listed as Nismo 4.875 and Nismo 5.143. I personally don't have the resources to physically test one, but maybe someone else out there does?

Having a little Clutch issue. I have an 08 z with 4000 miles. Sometimes the clutch pedal sticks when i rev the car high in first. I don't mean racing but like when your merging into a lane an you have to take off fast. This has happened twice now. the pedal sticks and once it engageds you have the burnt clutch smell. Iv dove stick my whole life so know it's not me. Also when shifting into second the car is very bouncy. Shifting through all the other gears are fine but it's second that when the gear engages it's very bouncy.

How will I be able to get that ECU back. If i ask them now they will probably get suspcious then if I ask them when the car is done I dont know if te will give it back. Btw, the car is being serviced under extended warranty so everything is free. Do you guys recommend anything? Please help me out if you know anything or have been in this position before.
It started up fine with no abnormal noises or shaking this time but it seemed like there was still a little more than normal gray smoke coming out of the exhaust. It was heart wrenching. I changed my oil and everything seems fine again. Any ideas as why it did this? It was 4,000 miles on royal purple oil.
