I will try messing around with it tomorrow. I did a "refresh" which is a less in depth restore point or recovery point. Idk if it did anything since I wanted to get to bed.

I'd be hard pressed to run any kind of apple product again. Iphone 3G was my last device (besides my 120G ipod classic) that I got from them. Never cared for Apple computers though.

My HP is one of the 360s that you can use as a tent, stand, laptop, or tablet. It's pretty legit.... or was until I started dicking with it.

I already talked to jhc (cool azz dude for calling me) and I'm running the BitDefender antivirus based on 1700+ 4 star reviews on PC Weekly or whatever reviewer. I hope it's just me being an idiot (or idiot through windows 8.1) but we'll see.

Srs^^ this one was 7-900 ish (fiancé bought it for me) and that was plenty for what I need. As long as the forum will pull up quickly......

I hate our internet provider (Mediacom monopoly here in Iowa) so hopefully with the Google Fiber (or whatever it's called in Kansas City) it will be faster...

Lulz, I hope I can just figure it out. I worked a long shift and was at my grumpy before bed mode so I was pizzy. I hope to mess with it more tomorrow and since I don't go in until midnight, I should be able to make the trip to Best Buy

So now we're $10 closer to a 2200$ laptop! Yaaay!


I'm guessing that the "bitdefender" Antivirus software i downloaded is my problem.... not directly but ithink one of those dick headed "bonus installs" got me. I read through all the ones and declined weatherbug and chit like that, but i must have missed something and accidentally installed some bushit.

But the forum was being slow before all this other random stuff.....

So, for now I am just trying to Uninstaller stuff not needed.... can you gurus please look at the list and tell me what's not needed?

I'm planning on going to Best Buy tomorrow to see how fcuked I am. :/

I don't want to pay as much as my fiancé did for the laptop just to go back to being slow on the forum. To top that off, we are shutting our Internet off tomorrow. Pita.

Ionno. i'm guessing Mediacom's bushchit speeds would cut out as the forum was trying to load? I hope so. Now I have to reinstall office, hopefully it doesn't say I've already activated it.

We moved in with my fiancé's sis and bro in law and I have had no issues with the site. Either it was our internet or it was the "Bitdefender" antivirus that I installed. I have not reinstalled it due to wanting to talk to Best Buy first.

Does anyone in here have experience with BitDefender?

Never heard of it. Is it just google AVG Free dot com? I only paid $30 for the bitdefender, but if it's pooping on my computer I don't want to reinstall it.

If I am ever not moving or quitting a job I will dick with my computer again. I was on the forum all afternoon Monday and had no issues. I think our old house was plagued with anti internet monsters. Srs, we had HUNDREDS of issues with Mediacom since it was the only provider.... Just found out we will have AT&T in our apartment in KC.... hope it doesn't ess dee at effin pee.
