which one? they all get shot for target practice but the kahr mk9 is for concealed carry. i just got the h&k but it's not much larger than the beretta 92fs and both will be used for concealed carry in colder weather or whenever i feel like carrying more firepower.
I could start my own war with the amount of firearms in my collection. My latest is the current bad boy , the S&W 500. Biggest most powerful hand gun made. I live in the Republik of Kalifornia where the morons we elected to run our state who have taken a 10 billion dollar surplus and made a 36 billion dollar deficit are banning every type of fun gun made. I have bought and stored what I consider some pretty cool stuff so my two sons 4 & 2 will get a chance if they want to fire some hellacious fire power.
rifle #1- mosin nagant- beutiful russian sniper rifle, mine was made in '54 and found with loads of other mosins in a salt mine in russia
some working on the wood to get all of the crud from the greas paper off of it was neccesarry, a quick check of the barrle revealed more grease paper rolled up on the inside
its a beutiful rifle, very cheap to aqquire
mine was only $75.00 at a saxet gunshow with maybe $20 for materials for cleaning & maint.
it fired 7.62X54R rounds, which seems to be russia's favored rifle round
it is also what is used in the ak's and dragunov
rifle #2- saiga 308- the short description is that its a modern ak-47 chambered in 308 and its unfortunately a post ban rifle, so it has a special 8rd box mag
those of you who are shotgun lovers might want to check out the saigas. to my knowledge, the 308 is their only rifle, but they have like 4 shotguns- all based around the ak-47 action
very nice, accurate rifles
a joy to shoot
oh, and i dont use them for protection, hunting, or killing
i mostly shoot at dead hardware
hey, i was a comp tech for a school system for a while, i found a lot of dead power supplies, printers, monitors, and hard drives
those are just so satisfying
bullet trails are a magnificent thing to trace when you stack multiple hard drives and shoot through them
oh, i also have many swords and a kama set
im good with most of my swords, but i just cant get the hang of the kama set... thats one bad mamma jamma- and its way too sharp!
It's a compact .45 with 10+1 rounds. I like to go plink at the range, but have it mainly for protection from badguys and pigs...lol
For those of you who don't know it...everything is big in Texas and we have some 400-600 pound wild piggies on our hunting property...think of the movie Hannibal.
I bought the biggest clip that I could before more freaking restrictions are imposed on law abiding citizens.
I plan on getting my concealed carry fairly soon...the Z is my priority buy at the moment though!
I've got three shot guns--one 12 guage skeet gun, one 12 guage trap gun, and my first shot gun--the piddly little 28 guage. All Browning.
I also have a Glock 9mm, but I want a .40 or .45--probably in about a year. Finally doing my conceal and carry in October with my little sis--she's finally turning 21 then, and I didn't want to take the class by myself.
Gotta love Texas.
Oh, and for "protection" I've always got at least one knife on me at all times. One's obvious, the other's hidden--just in case I need it.

Dragunov, yes. AK, no. AK-47s are 7.69x39, AK-74s are 5.45x39.
Anyway, I don't own any firearms right now, but I've my eye on a few.
Most recent guns I've fired are all friends'. HK-91, FN/FAL, HK USPc .40, and a Ruger P90.
Originally posted by gooters I would love to have one though...or a Baretta skeet gun. For me, shooting skeet is less formal...usually with pops and my bro.
Wow. It's usually casual for me, too, but I do shoot in at least one tournament a year. My dad's cousin is trying to get me entered into more events, but I don't think I'm good enough yet.
I'm hoping to get a new trap gun soon, and those Kregoffs (sp) are looking REALLY good--if only I had the 4 grand to buy a good one. LOL
I am a certified handgun instructor and have a permit to carry a handgun.
My choice right now is a Sig Pro SP2340. I also like Glock and have a Model 26 so I switch guns in which car I am driving, The Sig fits in the storage compartment behind the passenger’s seat and fairly easy to get to, I do believe in having and permit and to take a class on handgun safety before carrying a handgun.
