Just some range day pics (SBR and suppressor goodness)
Had a great day shooting as it was 75 or so here in NW Indiana which is the warmest it has been in quite some time. Also got burnt all to hell and we went through about 1000 rounds of .223, 500rds of 5.45, 1000rds .22, 200rds 9mm, andddd I think that was it.....not looking fwd to loading mags back up...oh well.
My buddy has the Major League Infidel shirt on, I'm in the green BOP shirt, his g/f, and his dad. All in all a great time.
The DNR officer (cranky old bastard that doesn't like our EBR's and therefore stays close to us even though the range was packed) and was not amused by me lighting a cig off the can lol.
PMAGS stayed loaded and on the ready as there were some serious redneck dumbasses doing some stupid **** that could've warranted us needing some loaded mags...they shoulda been kicked out.
Thanks and btw check out how awesome the eye relief is on the TA-33....highly recommend it to anyone! Ain't gonna get close to that kinda eye relief from the TA31 or TA01....rightfully so w/ an extra times magnification but still....that TA-33 continues to impress me each and every day.
ETA: And thanks to my hearing pro....I've got a nice two tone burn going on on top of my head now lol....
haha That one during that pic took a bit to light due to only two mag dumps. At then end of the day we had to wait 30 minutes to even grab it w/ two rags and gloves b/c it was so hot....and then it was still so hot it wouldn't unlatch the QD lol.
I never thought about lighting a cig off a can, but bet a .223 can after a few mag dumps is hot as hell. Only after 15 rds on my 9mm can, I cant even touch it.
Actually I was pleasantly surprised. It's damn accurate at 50. It's my buddies dad's and he bought it on a whim. We're now trying to get him to buy the Gemtech can for it. (useless I know) but it'd be awesome.

Just your standard Bulgy Ak74. Have another break/comp for it that allows that Gemtech can on the AR to be attached but found it doesn't surpress all that well.
it does have a conservation officer as an RO but w/ that said...it's pretty much the shooting dies down to a few ppl left shooting then we start yelling that ppl are ready to go downrange and set up new targets and wait til all guns are cleared/etc/etc and then go down...once everyone gets back we all look out for each other and declare range hot again.
I can't wait for my SBR and sup. papers to finally get approved! I'm thinking of a YHM QD can, any opinions?
I'm glad to see the GSG-5 is acting right, I've personally seen three with broken bolts in the last year.
I've shot Knight's, Surefire and Gemtech. I liked SF the best. Negligible shift, built pretty sturdy. My next one though will be an AAC if I have the balls to not go with Surefire again.

AAC is technically the better suppressor than the SureFire...your really only paying for the name with them.
Hmm, that's not the first time I've heard that. I'm going to have to do more research. It's just hard to spend that dough on an AAC when Surefire does fine for what I do with it and I get a discount.
We'll see. I definitely need to figure something out because whatever I get needs to handle being on a 12" gas op upper.
