Default Recommendations on an AR15 stock

Finally able to get a LPK for me to put my Stag lower together.

Right now I need a easy to unlock bullet button and 10 round Mag

but more importantly I want a great stock. What would you recommend?

bullet buttons are a California requirement. not required in any other state. it is so you have a fixed magazine.

I recommend you move out of Cali.... j/k

Honestly, I don't know enough to help you. But I would think that custom guns (at least with parts from different mfrs) is based on individual taste and comfort/use.

What companies are you looking at?

LMT SOPMOD and the CTR are great. I run the CTR on one of my guns. I have never liked TAPCO. On my competition carbine, im running a PRI skeleton that is nice. I got an UBR that is just sitting in my bench, it needs to go on a fixed stock 16" I have. If you don't mind the weight and/or the wait, the UBR is sweet.

LMT SOPMOD is probably the most comfortable stock for the AR15, but you pay for it in $$ as well as weight.

CTR is pretty light.

I run the SOPMOD and my wife runs the CTR. The UBR will be for my next AR15.

I like the CTR and the UBR. UBR is a bit on the heavy side, but can help counterbalance the rifle.

Get the Magpul MOE if you want to save money. The idfference between the CTR and the MOE is the friction lock and the sling swivel holes. Honestly, the MOE locks very well just like the CTR but $50 less.

I haven't used or bought the Vltor, but I lucked out on a UBR otherwise I would be running that on my Sig 556.

The Obama AWB list? Oh yeah, its right next to the instructions for turning lead into gold....

There is none... however, if its going to happen look at Clinton's ban, thats where it will most certainly start

You should buy an original Colt Ar-15. They haven't been made in years, but that's the real deal. the newer stuff are all copies....nice stuff, but it's like owning a kit car instead of an original , or buying an Epiphone Les Paul instead of a Gibson Les Paul guitar.

Colt still makes rifles. And you can buy a better AR15.

sometimes the kit car is better than the original.

for a collapsible stock i'll go with the magpul milspec ctr(I have one now.)

fixed choice would go with the A2 stock.(I had one on the rifle I just sold.)
