Default My new tactical rifle

This is my first tactical bolt rifle. It's a Remington 700 SPS Tactical chambered in .308win. It's got a hogue stock, 20" barrel, X-mark trigger...

The scope is a Zeiss Conquest 4.5-14x44 with a #58 reticle

Bypod is a haris

IMO, the SPS is a good entry-level rifle. I've personally seen one shoot sub .5MOA out of the box with match ammo which is awesome for a $600 rifle. My only modifications might be a larger bolt handle, McMillan stock, and a Timney trigger.

Just wondering for anyone here who owns a Remington 700, anyone recommend the JAE stock conversion?

This is a shameless plug but oh well.

Im selling my Rem 700 SPS-Varminter.308...its the same as the gun above but with a 26" bull barrel and a different stock. Its a 2009 model with the X-mark pro trigger as well and about 160 or so round through it. Like new, not a scratch. 500+ship

What reticle in that Zeiss?

Nice gat BTW.

I started a "show your bolt gun" thread in this section, check it out. Actually, don't go out of your way, it's a pretty lame thread. LOL.

So I went shoot today...

Target is a 5-shot group at 100 yards. 90% humidity, 87 degrees, clear skys

I used 150 grain magtec for the barrel break in and this target, I'm confident with some federal 168 grain match I could shoot sub-.5 MOA
