Buying online? Prices vary $100 for the same pistols in my area at shops 30 minutes apart from each other.
You have to look around your own area and compare if picking up locally. Who is to judge that XXX amount of money is too much and XXX amount of money is a good deal other than yourself.
Not sure about the 23, but I bought a Glock 17 last weekend new for $490. I'm pretty new to the Glock scene but from my understanding of them you shouldn't pay much more than $500 for any of their models.
^LOL that is a pretty bold statement.... what if one was highly modified? good sights, worked trigger, performance barrel, stippling,etc.etc.
It really depends on if they come w/the night sights or not, or have any specials going on that will include extra mags, etc. but would have to agree w/ sidewayz much more then 500 for a base glock is to much.

Well duh I'm talking about the base model. I would never buy a highly modified gun anyway for the same reasons why I'd never buy a highly modified car. Half the fun is specing it out yourself to how you want it.

Outside of sights, I will never modify a gun. Out the box is the way to go. Other than those that shoot competitively, Ive never quite understood it (in terms of being practical)

That's understandable. I don't have any plans to make any major changes. I personally hate the stock sights on my G17 and want to switch them out for a 3-dot style of fiber optics. I wouldn't mind having and extended slide release as well, but that's just me. It also would depend on the firearm. I've heard that there are some 1911 brands/models that shoot pretty low out of the box but after it spends a little time witht the 'smith it's a much better shot. That's just what I've heard though. Not sure if it's true.
my new Glock23 with a secret 1 round compartment. i bought it for 529.99 @ Academy. this gun shoots pretty accurate and have no buyer's remorse. i've just ordered some eye and ear protection from midwayusa.com. yay!

New, large frame (.45 ACP, 10mm) Glocks like the 20, 21, 29, and 30 will generally cost a bit more than the smaller-framed ones. But, yes... all base, non-night sighted Glocks are anywhere from $480-$540 brand new.
