Default Mossberg 930 ordered from Bud's Gunshop - A LEMON!

This thing would not cycle shells, I've only taken it out twice in 11 months, but finally took it into my gunsmith. They said it's completely missing the pieces necessary for semi-automatic action. Anyone have experience with returning weapons for service?

Thanks!

I've always thought Bud's was a bit shady. Sorry no experience. I'm betting you're going to have to eat the repair cost due to waiting 11 months....WTF??? I would have been taking that thing to the range day one... no bueno for you

Wow....sounds odd. Ive bought 2 guns from buds and they have always been 100%. Also every review on other forums such as thehighroad recommends them as well....

Have you contacted buds? What did they say?

Wouldn't this be a Mossberg issue? They should be the ones you contact since you are most likely well beyond the exchange period for Buds.

This doesn't seem to even involve Bud's, while I've only used them once, I have never heard of any problems from them.

Mossberg is fairly easy to deal with, but 11 months, and it supposedly missing key parts is going to be hard to convince them. How the hell that slipped QC is anyone's wonder.

It might just be better to order the internals, rather then shipping it to them, unless of course they are convinced the gun was shipped that way.

Basically if Bud's doesnt cover some of the costs, I'll start a war with BBB, my credit card company, Mossberg ect ect ect.

I'm not getting the short end of the stick on this.

If the OP has only used it 2 times in 11 months........I don't think the CC company is going to help him out at all. I'd contact the manufacturer and have them replace the necessary parts.......will probably need to be out of pocket.

It depends really, ive had manufactures really take care of me. For example i bought a keltec p32 USED and it would fail to eject every round. I took it to my gunshop, they contacted keltec. almost 4 weeks later (which is fast) keltec and put a new slide on,new barrel, and polished the ramp NO CHARGE. Some companys back their stuff and some dont. Get off your *** now that you know you have a problem and contact buds gunshop and the manufacture if buds dont step up. PS dont be a douche as the as the saying goes you get more beez w/honey then vineagar.

I'm not familiar with Buds or where its located, but there are some great gun shops locally here in AZ that I can refer you to if you would like. In fact, Guns Plus has always taken good care of me, and they had a few really nice Saiga's last time I was in! Let me know if I can help!

This is the one I'll most likely exchange it for. What do you think? I have limited knowledge of this gun. Thanks Idwin!

OK I need to redeem BudsGunshop. The OWNER of Bud's called me and told me to send the gun back to them of their dime and gave me a refund.

He was so furious about what happened with my Mossberg, he almost started cursing.

Awesome experience with them. Mossberg....not so much.

The saiga is a beast!!! It needs some work done on the bolt, and a gunfixers gas plug at a minimum IMO, but i would also get a new trigger setup and do a conversion. I have thousands of rounds through mine and no problems what so ever. Bolt moves like butter, the trigger is crisp with a short reset. Cheap wally world bulk ammo, no problem with any. I blasted a few hundred rounds of my old mans that were atleast 15 years old, still not one failure of anykind
