Exclamation Halteck problem...

Hello, I just bought a twin turbo (500+) 350z.
It's got a Greddy turbo kit a Greddy full system exaust (no catalytic converters and no Lamda-sensors) and a Haltech engine management.
when I fool around with the power, no problem. But when I am in 4th or 5th gear and go full-throttle, the engine revs, reaches about 6-6500rpm and then the engine "stoles".. All it does is rev only up to 2500rpm and the idle goes to 1200rpm. Also black smoke comes out of the exhaust.
Then, I restart the engine and everything is back to normal.
I suppose it has something to do with the OEM cpu and the Haltech unit. Sothing goes wrong (maybe too much fuel) and then the OEM cpu finds that there is an engine problem. And maybe when I restart the engine the cpu "reboots" and all is normal.
Any suggestions anyone??

It does sound that way, or find a new one

Angelo_balto, email me your map and the specs on the car (Displacement, compression, injectors, return fuel system). I would be happy to look over it and I'm sure we can get you headed in the right direction

Here's the P1051 DTC from the Service manual. This is from a G35 Coupe, but I believe the ECU and DTCs are all the same.

Click the image to open in full size.

Hope this helps...
