Hello,
Albeit no longer a topic that should be discussed in a forced induction thread, for street cars we always recommend 1.5 ways. 2.0 ways are more for track because they lock up very easily. That becomes a potential liability then, as you can quite easily lose control if the diff locks up going into a turn while braking. Buy a 1.5 way.
My thoughts..
Darren

There is no such thing as a "somewhat" turbocharger. It's either a turbo or not a turbo. (ProCharger is a supercharger system, NOT turbo). To address your second question: the only CARB legal aftermarket products are labeled "CARB LEGAL". ProCharger is not CARB legal, neither are any turbocharger systems on the market...

Yup, still hit or miss though,
SP went 9.35 (with many passes in the 9's) on a stock '03 008 trans lol

Truth. Actually, the early years ('03-'04.5) manual trans had 3rd gear synchro issues from the factory. So, if you didn't get that handled by Nissan (they were replacing transmissions) while the car was still under warranty, you could have a bad 3rd gear just being stock!

I know for turbonetics, they can supply you with cats for passing emissions. If i purchased a APS single turbo, will i be able to pass emissions? If not, what do i have to do to pass?

Just curious
This will be my first reply on this forum, just joined. First let me compliment this thread, I'm not new to car mods, but even so this is an awesome source of info, I tip my hat. I'm just curious, because I see several threads discussing sleeves, however it's stated that the stock block and crank are good well past 600+rwhp. I'd like to know (not that I'm questioning your info) where all these numbers everyone throws out come from.

I think there are a few people that have attempted similar setups. You just gotta search through the FI section.

If it's a waste of time is completely up to you. Is it possible, yes. Are there better turbos out there for the Z, yes. I think you need to do your research (Price and time wise), and see if it works out to be better than purchasing a turbo kit, and doing the labor your self.
