So I just ordered my vortech and found out that they're releasing kits for the G35 and 350z with the V3 supercharger that requires no oil lines like the procharger.
We don't have a complete system for an 07 G35 as of yet. I'm working with engineering to get one done. We thought the 07 G35 was going to have the VQ35HR motor like the 07 350Z. Well as you know it didn't, it came with the VQ35DE. The G37 ended up with the HR motor similar layout to the 07 350Z HR.
We need to update the list on our website. The V3 is now available for the 03-06 350Z/G35 kits.
If anyone with an 07 G35 coupe (stock) in so cal reads this we need a car for R&D. You'll get a discount on the kit and FREE installation. We'll need the car for up to 4 weeks. Give me a call for more details 805-247-0226 Ext.225
So I'm gonna call them tomorrow and hope that I can get the V3 instead to ease my self install
it's not really an upgrade guys, it's more of a different option for new installs for those who are scared to tap the block or a spacer
for those that already have a vortech, you're already tapped into your engine anyway one way or another. What compelling reason do you have to switch to a self contained blower?
Vortech has stated that V2 and V1 are better at dealing with heat because of the greater supply of oil, and especially so if you have an oil cooler
IMO I just see the blower as adding extra maintenance with having to change 2 oils instead of one. And you can't even actively cool the V3 with an external oil cooler or can you?

always worried about the blower getting oil and getting rid of it....one clog on the oil feed line and its broken....one kink on the return and its broken...lol
peace of mind that I can change it out like every 1000 miles without changing my entire engine oil every 1000 miles.
I would upgrade for that...but you are right man...sort of a waist of money... but I am always paranoid about my car. I had a rock stuck in a wheel and heard it over the radio...i have issues I know...lol.
I would love to keep that SC oil changed like every 1000 miles...that would be nice... cant afford it otherwise.
