Thanks Kiyo! Did I mention that this is the SAME clutch I have had in the car for 3 years. 30K+ street miles of street use, 20-30 drag racing passes, lots of street racing (I am retired from street racing now), and now a couple seasons of track use. Still running strong! The Carbonetic triple disc clutch is definately the last clutch you guys will buy for your cars.
Thank you, Sharif!!!!! This is the most bestest pleasant compliment for CARBONETIC!!!!!!!!!!
Sticking with the same race class next year now that the challenge has waned?
Looks like a lot of brake pad material on those rotors (trail braking?)
I am not sure if I understand your first question. There is still plenty of competition in the series. The 2400lb turbo S2000 for starters, and I am not counting the BC Racing car out...they will get their electrical issues worked out for next year no doubt. And although we did very well in Modified and Unlimted RWD, we have our sights set on the Overall Championship next year. The car has so much more untapped potential.
To that end, we'll be competing in the Redline Time Attack series next year as well, and depending on the final rule changes for 2009, we might just run Unlimited RWD, instead of double duty with Unlimited/Modified RWD. Hopefull even more 350Z's and G35's will get involved.
Oh, and yes I trail brake a lot...helps to rotate the car towards the apex, and it's the fasest way around a corner. Anytime you can do two things at once smoothly...you will be faster...ie..braking and turning at the same time.
Bert, I took more pics of the cage today, and will post them up tomorrow.
Pics of the cage...sorry for the mess but we are restripping the car, and getting more of the gew out. Also going to build a false floor and dead pedal for the driver side...so things are a little messy at the moment.
