this isnt really a product announcement... but a preview. everything fits, but we need to finalize design on the throttle body adapter as well as a minor update to the neck that goes over the chain cover (we are just making it a tad wider). we CNC'd all the outside surfaces in MDF here for mocking up clearances and what not... of course the production ones are 100% billet aluminum,
notes: fits stock hood, but you have to remove some of the support webbing in the front. requires one of mounting bosses to be removed on the front timing chain cover. requires modifying your wiring harness. the radiator fan shroud needs the flat ledge trimmed off to clear a silicone 3" elbow. from there a custom throttle body tube to the intercooler needs to be fabricated. realistic to be installed by any shop with minor fabrication abilities, but probably not for the basic DIY guy.
the inside of it looks almost the same as the one we built for sound performance... just some minor updates.
we designed it to fit with stock radiator setup so that others can use it without getting too crazy.
this is intended by design for very high power boosted cars with engines built to rev out. probably not a whole lot of point in putting it on a stock motor boosted car other than appearance, im not so sure it will really help with power much in that application, we will have to wait and see.
pricing isnt set yet
this billet one is sweet because we can anodize it! i think i will do mine dark red with SS hardware... with the base plate in black.
Charles, looks great! Keep up the great work. I am excited to see this come to life.
As always, you know you can count on me for back-back testing

That's a good question! I am not sure if the g has more or less hood clearance
The G has more clearance.

Are you asking about where the air enters? If so, the opening will be on the very front.. While it's solid on that wood prototype, it was made only to show outside dimensions, so we did not machine the insides
What will it flow over the typical 350ZDE/HR rpm range?
The runner length is set aiming for peak power in the higher rpm. At what rpm it could provide gains will depend on the rest of the engine as well. This was intended for 800+ hp type builds, but it's got a good chance of helping on lower power setups. We will just have to try it on a couple different setups. I want to see it on a stock block, a 600ish car, and a 1000ish car.
is it going to make 50 whp untuned? why do I have to retune for it?
will it take 75 psi of boost and a 400 bazillion shot of NOS as well as Methanol (together)?
what else do I need to install on my car? My current mods are Zaino, tint and test pipes....
how much does it weigh?
why is it so expensive? I think if you can make it for $250, you'll sell alot more and make alot more money
Now that those are out of the way
Definitely looks badass Charles - I know you've got HKS injectors (IIRC?) on your car - any issues with the usual suspects as far as rails/injector combos? (that last question was legit lolol)
I think I understand what Cheston is asking, since I know where he works Is it a channeled air guide on the underside of the cover (sorta like a reversed diffuser) or a flat plane? I think I know the answer, but that might be what he was going for
