Most Reliable FI system
What kind of FI system or brand would be the most reliable for a daily driver while still putting down decent power. I understand reliability and gas mileage are being sacrificed to an extent when you decide to do forced induction.
Just trying to get an idea of what brands/psi/whp would be the best option. Seeing the "how far are you filling to drive from home" thread has me double thinking FI. I'll be building the motor eventually but not right away. I'm looking for 400rwhp give or take.

Yes I know this question has probably been asked 100 times, I searched and didn't find what I was looking for. The FI FAQ's has no posts in it and there are no stickies.
As I said before, I know there are going to be problems but whats the most modest setup I can go with.

it stock. to many thing can happen. I would say 350hp for the best you can get on stock block but keeping it super reliable. Honestly that may blow up. any car fi isn 100% reliable. I would say a couple psi would help obtain your goal the best. $,$$$>100hp gain...

(IIRC). I find the JWT set-up to be very reliable while providing a decent amount of power.
If you go the TT route regular maintenence is a must. 1500 - 2000 mile oil changes, and regular inspections of all relevant systems will help alot. Also, try to avoid the temptation to abuse the car too much.
I recently went to ZDAYZ which was a 10 hour 1k mile trip each way. Did a total of about 2500 miles. Only problem was a blown relay which I got wet when I powerwashed the car. My car idles and performs like stock
(except much more power & speed!!!
). Take your time researching what accessories you will need to complement your system. A reliable long term TT set-up IS possible!!

ya, but even then it can pop soon after..... I've had this debate over this with my of my friends who own other cars sti and srt-4s. They all say the same thing, "its a Na engine built for na purpose, when you go fi you take life away quickly depending on the numbers. Also,they say that ya you could be lucky and you will have no problmes but you could also be unlucky and it blow in the first 500 miles. Either way your taking a risk on going fi and thats why the other people earlier in the thread are laughing is because it kinda common car nut sense....

probably buying a GT-R would be the most reliable since you have a 3/36 warranty for a small sum of about 85k.
but just remember you gotta pay to play. If you can't afford to keep an "OH ****" fund of the cost of a motor rebuilt, then FI on the Z isn't for you
