Why people still buy the DSS axles? when they still break just like the stock ones!!!

How about using the stock ones and preloading the drivetrain?

could do that, however I will say dss has been VERY supportive and replaced the axles at no charge. I install stock ones while they rebuilt mine in the past.

I thought about buying them, but I live in the Middle East, so shipping them back and forth every time I break them will be a hassle.

Have either of you tried the DSS Pro axles and broken those too?

When I hear of DSS axles breaking, it's typically Level 2 or Level 5 axles breaking at their weakest link, which is the stock inner CV. The Pro series upgrades the inner CV as well.

I left easy on this pass and the car bogged a bit but was a clean run over all. I was feeling pretty good about the car and the track was hooking good so I thought it would begood to try out the two step. Bad idea !!! Staged the car and brought it up on the two step and when the lights came down I went about 3 ft. lol. Broke the drivers side axle. No wheel hop or any movement .... just one jolt and one loud bang. This was on DSS Pro axles. The car is running strong and def. has more in it. Will be back at it soon.

A testament to the potential of this platform... Even the most robust axles are still breaking before the rest of the stock drive train.

What did you trap on low boost?

edit-just saw the vid, was it the 133mph slip?

Your shifts got considerably faster as the day went on....

as the day went on I started going more and more aggressive, the brand new mickeys were breaking in nice and the track got hotter and hotter. My biggest upset was my suspension I didn't have time to adjust it and it was wayy to stiff in the rear. With my 141 trap and Vinny working on a new tune I will try to get the car in the nines this season.

I assume he's retuning for meth or race gas? I don't really see much benefit for pump retune...700whp on pump no meth is boss as fvuck.
