No I didn't realize as I am a guy who has a lot of other stuff going on and can't dedicate myself to hours of reading just about my car, so that is why I ask. So what about your clutch? Can it take 1200HP stock? So I can go to that level of power without changing anything else?
I find that hard to believe but like I said, I am no expert.
I know what RWHP means, and the approx 15% loss from the crank to the wheels.
Don't want nitros, and if turbo meant adding 200HP, then that is fine as well. Prefer to keep it reasonable.

stock clutch is only rated for ~350ft-lb and it won't last long at that unless you drive like a b*tch

Then just don't answer.
If nobody answers then I'll just have to find out on my own, but on sites I am on that deal with networks, and data deduplication, I have no issues with people asking questions and giving them answers without making them feel f'ing stupid because they didn't want to spend time searching and just wanted a quick answer.
Thanks though for your answers.

So in your day job do you get paid to state the obvious?
I know how to use it.
Already admitted that I didn't.
Is it my firstborn that you want?
Please....stop.....please....
You are making me feel so stupid.
Where is my tissue, I think I felt a tear on my cheek.
You have been so helpful.
I'll thank you properly next time by showing you my search results.

Opinions aren't obvous my friend.
Reading fact sheets and getting real world from people is different.
I found out about one of the SC kits available from this thread that I didn't find when I searched so it did come in handy.

You know what?
I'm not seven.
I get it.
Anyone else want to chirp up?
Looks like I owned up to this a few messages ago so drop it already.
You know what you guys do to a thread when you add message after message? You make it look like there is real info being added instead of more slights.

Thanks
Problem I have is that we really only have a few speed shops. Nobody that does this on a regular basis with a Z.
Have read about the Greddy one, but don't want to add too much, more along the lines of around 100HP and to keep the same hood.
Issue is finding a complete kit that won't overdue the boost as I don't want to start changing a lot more at the same time, I know clutch will be a weak point if I go much more.
Thanks

Yeah i've seen people with a bunch of bolt ons barely able to reach 300rwhp and my Greddy 20g's at waste gate pressure did almost 410rwhp. I know going FI is a big initial hit to the wallet but in my opinion I wouldn't even mess with any bolt ons and just save up for FI. Its amazing driving a factory car for awhile and getting used to that power and then adding just over a hundred rwhp makes it feel like a completely different car. The only bad thing is trying not to keep pushing and pushing for more hp haha
