Because I don't have enough going on in my life I decided to pull the trigger on cleaning up a few things...
Something that has been bothering me is the rice-like greddy blue couplers...so a buddy and I fab'd up a single piece intake from the intercooler to the throttle body...a ounce of prevention made this pretty easy...
also chopped the outlet side of the IC and welded on a 3" nub...Greddy sized it around 2.75"
would like to upsize the turbo to IC pipes at some point in time...but the exhaust is next...

Only thing about Denver I don't miss from living there was the stupid emissions checks. Remember those on the side of the road emissions van checkers that'd supposedly report you if they sniffed ya going by.
You going to go E85 or 91? I'm in the middle of switching over to E85 from 91, keep hearing too many good things and seeing crazy results not to consider; also considering the cooler running properties.
FWIW boosting around in the NM heat I have no overheat issues with smaller radiator core than you; so I would imagine your setup should be fine. Only bummer is the less boost due to the heat of the day, but that gets resolved in the evening's when it cools down into the 70's.

Thems a *****! unless your legal...then it's awesome bc you don't have to go to the DMV!!!!
I'm sticking gasoline - I don't mind putting a 100+ octane in the car...yes, stupid expensive but it's not a daily and it'd be cheap insurance.
The radiator is overkill...I don't like that it's so heavy - but I'm committed to it now!
I don't know that I'll be running the car hard (to it's limits) in this heat ... but yea, heat sucks!
doing a few clean up things on the front and doing a 3.75" exhaust and I'm off to get (formally/professionally) tuned...

You going to take it to Mac for the tune? Been out of the loop for a long time from the Denver scene - not sure anymore who does Z tunings there. Honda Ghandi (Tobi) from TC's Performance (no longer a shop) did my initial Haltech tune as well as the whole build for that matter.
Yea the high octane will be a very nice safety net, besides, with the high altitude you can always turn the boost up a lot compared to sea level to just make the same power uncorrected while still having dyno numbers a ton higher than sea level lol
Go cruise that sucker in the mountains once you get it on the road! Miss the canyon carving options that were endless there right up I70

Was going to go to mac - seems like people either have a great experience with them or a horrible...I like it because they are relatively close.
Theres a guy up in Longmont that looks really good but Longmont is a long ways away! I'm hoping to get a basic safe tune for 8-10psi so I can get the car out and enjoy it. I'm doing a little custom muffler now and would like to do the AAM downpipes and a size appropriate Y-pipe but I cant find them for sale anywhere. Theres a guy here that said he'd do the downpipes and the y pipe for $1200...I can't do it now but possibly over the winter ... we'll see...
You ever drive that Road 536 up to the Sandias? It's a close second to Highway 74 outside of Morrison to Evergreen

Heck yea, we usually do the crest run up 536 a lot here in ABQ, it's about as close as I can get to CO mountain roads without a longer drive to like Jemez or Taos. Man one of my favorite roads branches off 74, Squaw Pass Rd (103) going up to Mt Evans, always a blast to carve up, or also Independence Pass if you like a long drive. Used to do the 119 -> 72 -> 7 loop a ton.

got on it...Sasha never got back to me ... sorta disappointed but 'reality on reality's terms' ... $150 in aluminum, $100 in the muffler, and I'm looking around $250 to $300 in labor via my welder-buddy...sense of accomplishment and satisfaction, priceless.
a quick road map...
stage 1a - build Y-pipe-back aluminum exhaust (now)
stage 1b - formal tune(a month or so)
stage 2 - upsize y pipe and downpipes(winter 2016 / spring 2017)
stage 3 - fuel (winter 2017)
3.87" ID exhaust...was a ***** to fit a 3.87" mid-pipe & muffler to a 3" Ypipe but a little afro-american engineering did it. Picked up a vibrant 4" OD muffler for $100
4" hole saw bit to cut the flange and some chop-saw and angle grinder worked well - had to hollow it out a little to account for the skew-angle of the pipe. Not too worried how it looks as I'll see about clamps once I do a custom y and down pipes. God bless 'merica...
cutting and fitting the angle beyond the y-pipe and fitting a flange was difficult but got it done - seemed like it moved on us every time we tacked it. Straight back to the sway bar opening and a few pie-cuts got us up to the muffler. welds are coming along and we need a day or so and it'll be done.
We gotta figure out the hanger next.
Gotta go back to the intake pipe and figure out a mounting bung for the intake temp sensor (ideas brewing)...
I had to remove the OEM 'W' brace but we're going to fab up an aluminum plate & tube alternate...

Had the car out yesterday and other than some weird fuel sounds in my lines (swirls and suction sounds - may be cavitation...) the car ran 'fun' ... did a few pulls and got into a new load column to tune...it was fun...
Got up this morning and headed over to the trusty moving & storage facility...they got a .01 ton truck scale, $10 later I came in at 3080 lbs... I did have my computer/book case (enter weight) in the trunk I should deduct...
Photo opp...

Still fixing to formally tune in the next month or so (had some living expenses pop up)...
I think I can get down into the mid-2800 lbs range...
every ounce counts...

Injectors installed - modified the VE tuning dead-time table, adjusted flow rate (1095cc/min based on 51psi) and added 20% to my entire table to get the car up and going...

got the drivers side turbo off and disassembled ... broken shaft - both compressor and and turbine impellers...got me thinking...wtf?
checked the oil feed line and surer than **** there was a 100% block in the feed line ... oil-starved turbo...makes more sense...
I was able to drop the oil from the block and filter and oil looks par for the course - still has a brown luster so I am hopeful the clogged line is the cause and not a symptom of a bigger issue.
regardless - onwared and upward...
1. new CHRAs - may consider the 20g upgrade ... not sure (input welcome)
2. go with AN-4 (as I have 8 feet of some earls it in the garage and a handful of AN-4 fittings)
3. splice in a few inline oil filters...(everyone should know at this point I love nascar equipment)

that sucks.
I had 20g impeller. My chra were technically td06h-20g. Made 640whp on them at 18psi.
Swapped them out for some Td06h-18g with billet impeller. Looking for quicker spool and more boost.
