2bad240's journey to the world of vortech
hey some of you know me, anyway for those that don't my name is ray.
my car has had several setups including nitrous and most recently a procharger that was a fail which prompted me to look elsewhere for power.
so luckily I managed to pick up a heavily used vortech bracket from jon @ Z1 for super cheap. (thanks jon!) and today I bought a v3 si new that should be here next week, also il be doing my intercooler piping all on the driver side so I can use my treadstone trv259 intercooler.
il be using this thread to update as I go. goal will be to make 18psi and whatever it does that's what it is. back story the engine is 11:1 wiesco pistons eagle rods. stock bore, tomei 272 cams and valve springs running a kinetix velocity intake and ppe longtubes.
anyway here is a pic of the old setup and a couple pics from test fitting the bracket before I pull it off for coating.
And lastly the blower.

Did you ever get any numbers with your procharger setup? Definitely curious but in the future I may also be looking into a new setup since the procharger is so limited.
Conway, the larger pulley moving up in size doesnt make as much of a difference as reducing the smaller pulley size. with my setup, at redline, just changing the smaller pulley from 25 to 22 changes the blower rpm from 75k to 85.5k according to procharger calculation.

And here is the best time I managed to get out of it on 8psi, never got a chance to try it on 10psi
